    Don't Like Gotlandssnus

Wow, I guess I am not a big fan of licorice. This snus has overpowering licorice flavor to me. Most all other snus I have tried has a light flavor that still allows the tobacco flavor to come through. Not this, all I get is licorice. Live and learn, it was a $3 experiment that failed. On to something else.

Yea, if you don't like licorice it can be overpowering. It and the yellow are my favorites. I find that gotlands is to be savored slowly. You might try out the Gotlands Yellow. It has much the same flavor without the licorice. Green is even mellower with a tartness.

Try the yellow - it's amazing. I was surprised by how nice it was.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will try it with my next order. I see I will have to use Northerner to try this, as buysnus does not offer it (why is that). What snsus would you say compares with it.

IMO the Gotlands all have a unique taste, not a lot of snus tastes simular to me. The yellow to me has a light citrus tone(a tangy undertone), a little burn, a nice bitterness(why I like Gotlands) and nice tobacco flavor at the forefront. A nice full rounded snus.

Then of coarse I smoked for 15 years so my palate is still off.

I agree, the Gotlands don't quite taste like anything else - rather like Gellivare and Landströms, they're a unique sort of snus.

I just got all 3 styles(all portion) in my last shipment, and I like them all. I think I'll be making all of these regulars, they win points from me for the can design, and the fact that they're a small producer. As Zero said, they have a very distinctive flavor that's not really like many others I've tried. I do find the Yellow label to have a similar flavor to V2s Phantom, but much milder in character.

Just a small update... I think this is my favorite snus. There's some others I like better for specific circumstances. but The Gotlands I can use all day. It has a mild sweetness that gives way to a pleasant bitterness. This will be my go to snus for general use.

Never got round to trying any gotlands but have been snusing their loose christmas version the past week and I really like it. Might give the others a go on my next order.

You should try out the Yellow loose to. It is very good. Very coarse. It is perfect for flaking off bits to chew on. I love the yellow portions as well. The design of their packaging appeals to me too. Especially the yellow loose, it has a very dark grey lid with the yellow label. Gotlands has a very nice nic hit. Does anyone know the nic levels in it?

I just received my order from northerner yesterday with the Julesnus, and it's really growing on me. Gotlands snus' is really unique in flavor and this one is no exception. I need to order a couple of rolls of Julesnus before they stop selling it for the year (Dec 31st?) Definitely a "christmassy" vibe to it!

I got mine yesterday. I like it. It smells of the spices in spiced candy or spiced rum.

                              Now I'm even more excited!

I ordered one can of that one and one of the Yellow Portions (among a few other brands). If I like the Christmas one, I will have to stock up before December is up...
