    Straight tobacco flavor

As Sage and others have stated, my tastes have changed just in the month that I have started my Swedish snus trip. What are some of your favorite non-flavored brands that the straight tobacco flavor really stands out?

Of the ones I have tried so far and are available to us in the US, I like Ettan best. I actually like the Lucky Strike the best and the Camel Whites to a lesser degree. Sage mentioned that LD Whites are similar and I have tried them but it was early in my snussing so I don't think I gave them a fair shake. Will order another can in the not too distant future.

Does the Thunder and Offroad straights have any hint of other flavors? My tastes buds aren't as refined as most of yours so their flavored ones all taste the same to me for the most part. Not sure how to word it because I can tell they are different but still have a common flavor that doesn't taste like tobacco. I don't think it is salt but just not sure what it is though. Please enlighten me on if I am the only one that feels that way.

Thunder Original is great IMO. Not sweet at all. Very strong and bold, and really hits. Offroad original, I like too, but it does have a sweetish element, but I wouldn't call it "flavored". I recall Odens Original Classic having a sweetish element too. Haven't tried their ES Original yet.

I really like Grov and Ettan too.

      Grov
      Ettan
      Prima Fint
      Phantom brown
      Röda lös

These are the mostly pure tobacco flavors I'm familiar with. Offroad original has a lemon drop flavor reminiscent of Phantom Classic. I haven't had any of the Thunders.

Thunder is a straight tobacco flavor with maybe a slight herbal twist. Not quite as straight forward as say Ettan. I thing even Grove has a different, but also subtle herbal twist as well

I have tried Grov too but it was about the same time as I did the LD white so I might give them another shot too.

            PMD, the way of snus.

EVERYTHING you once tried, you need to try again. And then again in a few months. And then again again 4 months after.

There is snus I find today that I really like that never took to in my first 2 years of using snus. It never ends, always keep an open mind. And always return to stuff that you just didn't absolutely hate.

Even Level was nearly as horrible as I remembered it when I finally tasted it again a few months back. That's saying something!!!

I have that in my cart over at GetSnus. Probably won't be able to place an order until next week though.

I really think this might be one you love. A fantastic snus, was a favorite here long ago. A bit "too strong" for every day use for me, but one I revisit at least every other months.

When I get home at night & want to relax, I want straight tobacco flavor. For average nic. I go for Ettan, strong - Nick & Johnny. Havn't tried Grove yet, but it's next on my list. Thunder just doesn't have enough flavor for me. I love Thunder Frosted, but the original - nothing. Offroad is just funky. Only can I've ever given away after the first portion instead of throwing in the freezer to try another day.

Ettan (portion and los) and Prima Fint (los) are about as straight tobacco as it gets, in my opinion.

I think Thunder Original has a very strong flavor. Overpowering a bit even. And the nic-hit is more than any I have I had. Only critique is, the flavor fades kinda fast, but I keep them in about 90 mins as usual.
