    Need help with lös order

    Hi everyone,

I need to put in an order at Getsnus for lös. I'm new to lös, tried it, loved it. Now I need to start sampling.

Getsnus doesn't have everything I want to try, but I need to use them because I'm moving to MN in 3 weeks and I can't risk a shipment getting here after I move.

So I would obviously buy every kind of lös if I could afford it, but I'm trying to save up a little before the move. I was looking at the lös sampler at getsnus that has General, Gotland yellow, Grov, Offroad Original, ahd Skruf Stark. I had the impression OR original wasn't that popular and I don't know what Gotland yellow is like.

I definitely want to try General, Grov, and Skruf, but I would rather get OR Cranberry, and maybe Gote Rape 2? I like tobacco-ey, smokey, flavors. I love Ettan los and portion. I love Lucky Strike. Fruity ones like Roda Lacket portions, and Gote Rape original are okay, but I always end up wanting a "plain" flavor.

I guess my question is, is Offroad Original going to be a snus that I'm going to hate? I'm leaning toward the sampler because of the savings, but I would hate to get a snus that I won't use. I know the difference in price is not much, I just want your thoughts. Thanks.

While the portions have their critics, the Offroad loose is usually praised.

tom is right. Phantom Blue los gets alot of praise. I myself like Ettan los, Goteborgs Prima Fint los, and Offroad Cranberry los. These are my favorites that I've reordered before and still enjoy.

Actually just go to You Tube and put bake and snus in and various other terms, there is a few vids. There is also a thread somewhere on this forum, maybe the tips and tricks that has this.

The way I have been doing it, is just taking some los in the palm of my hand and mashing it together so it sticks together, then I form it between my fingers to a small flatish rectangle form.

Making a big pyramid, or fat plug or ball does not seem comfortable to me.

                Here's a baking video tical:

                http://www.snuson.com/viewtopic.php?t=677

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to go ala carte on this one. I've been wanting to try OR Cranberry for a while so I might as well get it now. I'll try OR original someday. It's nice to know that it's decent at a good price. I'll be making tiny prillas with the Skruf Stark, lol  I've never gone stronger than 8mg, so it should be interesting.

On a side note, if Getsnus had more in stock, my order would probably be larger. Half of their stuff has a wait time on it. LAME.

Now, Ulsterman has been praising Phantom Brown Classic Loose, and it's only $1.90 at getsnus.

Get the sampler. Also I would ask Getsnus if they could swap the OR original for the cranberry. If not just throw a can of Cranberry in with the order. Also, Gotlands Yellow is a unique and quality snus that is a must try IMO

Regardless, the sampler is by far the best way to go. There is no way to know what you will like by reading a description. As such it is inevitable that a brand you think you are going to love will be blah while one you did not expect to like at all will be your favorite (Just ask lxskllr about Grov). The samplers are good because they keep your speculations and blind guesses out of the process and just get you to try the snus.

Baking is only half the adventure. Getting the pris in your mouth (in one piece) is the other half. For that check out the Dippers guide to snus

                        Here is the link
                        http://www.snuson.com/viewtopic.php?t=4014&start=100

The second post on page 6 deals with getting the pris in without breakup

Once again, great advice from Snusdog. I changed my mind now and am going to go with the sampler pack.

I just got a box of general los. Out of the three loses I've tried, general los, skruf stark los, and general extra stark los, my favorite is skruf. It seems easier to bake, keeps fresh a long time, and provides an excellent taste and gum numbing experience. Its probably opinion based, but I found the general ES very hard to bake compared to general los and skruf.

Good choice. I went with the Getsnus loose sampler when I decided to first try out los and very glad I did. Quite a bit of variety in those 5 cans and you can't beat the price.

And don't count out Gotlands, turned out to be one of my favorites.
