0102 Review thread.

I don't fold lengthwise because the portion gets too thick and makes my lip jut out enormously -- also it's quite uncomfortable. 02 addresses this nicely, and for me, is as comfortable as a mini yet delivers a meaningful amount of nicotine.

The "no drip".. eh, I dunno. I suppose it drips less than a typical original portion, but I tend to suck all the tasty juice out of my snus anyway.

That's because you're not fluffing, flattening, folding, and then positioning correctly, Karanya. Maybe I just play with my snus too much. If you're having lip jutting you need to ride them back further. This will also give you more juice (if you want it) and a quicker nic hit.

A couple of other observations I missed that I remembered last night. I had cueing problems with this snus. The flavor is so mild and the juice is so light that when the nic hits (and this portion has a pretty good hit for an 8 mg.) it feels strange because I have nothing to link it with.

One advantage of this snus is that I usually imbibe a lot of water, coffee, etc., with my snus and it wouldn't be necessary with 01/02. This could be an advantage when getting on a plane or in other situations.

I'm sure there will be many people who really like this snus. They may want a milder, less drippy snus and they will like the portion bag better than I do. I think that's great. What I don't want to see is SM put every snus in this type of bag. I like the traditional bags. The can is o.k., but looks like something from an IKEA catalog. I like the traditional cans. However, if IKEA made a yin-yang 01/02 coffee table that might be cool as long as it had refrigerated catch lids for my snus. 8)

I know "Snus is the sh**.", but did they really have to name them "number one" and "number two". 02, for when you really need to go.:lol:

I fold my regular portions, which is why I like the Lab series. You don't have to fold them.

I have to fold my regular portions lengthwise or they'll overlap my teeth by a lot. I can put them in regular and squish them up with my tongue, but it doesn't stay very well and ends up being the same size anyway. I haven't tried 01/02 yet, but it sounds like just the right size for me.

It's alright, once I get the bastards to juice up a little. The taste is kinda boring, but it's growing on me some. The portion fits nicely in the groove at the top of my jawline, but really--for me--once the flappy ends are taken into consideration, it's just a tad longer than it needs to be for total comfort. I'm probably in the minority with this. The can is sterile; the "names", as others have pointed out, are reminiscent of bodily functions; and the whole "non-brand" branding smacks faintly of the asinine. Other than all that, great snus.

Impressions so far: dull, bland, boring, and slightly annoying. Testing, however, continues apace.

Yes, I wanted a bit more balanced perspective. I know I am in a significant minority, only spoke up to assure the few others who felt the way I do that they weren't alone.

But I am really curious what you think after a roll. This was one I seemed to like less and less the more I used.

I'm just 5-6 portions into a tin of each but I've found that if I soak the portion with water as soon as I put it in, the flavors fairly strong but not very long lasting. I'm somewhat happier with the 0102 than I am with the LD whites and portions I got in the same order but I'll give both time.
