No Love for LD?

I got a couple of LD portion tins in a BuySnus mystery roll. So far, I've tried the LD White Portion (Red and white, so to speak; I think it's the original) and it was... good, but not great. It was definitely the best of any of the brands I tried from that roll to date, but I haven't tried the Enbar I got, yet.

I'm heartened by lxskllr's positive review of the Enbar/Juniper berry, so I'll probably try that tonight.

You bringing up this thread reminded me of what I previously thought of the Level. I'm wondering if my can went bad. I didn't like it much when I first got it, but I don't remember the horrible flavor either. I remembered it as being very ordinary, and slightly bad, but usable. I couldn't leave it in my mouth when I made that post below. I took it out before a 1/2 hour was up. I couldn't take it anymore :lol:

I still stand by the LD. The Black is in my top 3 favorite snus', and I still really enjoy the Juniper. I'm not sure I'll buy a roll of that though. As much as I like it, I think it's more of a special mood snus. That, and I'm getting too many that I want rolls of. I'm up to 6 rolls now, maybe soon to be 7(Grov). That's getting to be too much to keep on hand. I wish I could just go to the store and buy what I wanted, that way I wouldn't have to plan weeks, and months in advance. It's tough trying something new because of the waste of shipping fees. If you're gonna buy 1 can, you might as well buy 30 to make it worth the trouble :P

Now, I like the Catch Liquorice quite a bit. Are Metropol and LD comparable? Better even?

Metropol is very close to Catch, but I like LD much better. The LD has a nice oily texture, and is full of flavor. The Metropol, and Catch are a bit dryer, and the flavor doesn't seem to last as long.

Maybe I'll give the LD Black a try then. If the flavor lasts longer, that would be nice. That's the only thing I don't like about the Catch. The flavor doesn't last that long.

The LD is much sweeter in my opinion. I don't mind the taste of it but it gets old quick. I really liked the Catch at first but again just got tired of it. The LD Enbar is good. Just tried my first one tonight. The thing I don't like about LD is the portions break open all the time. At least the last can I got. The Enbar I just got had three of the portions sticking out from around the sealed lid. I have not tried Level.

I've heard that before with the LD. So far out of 6 cans I've had, none have had open bags. I have gotten some offroad like that though. I guess the cheaper brands don't have the tight quality control the more expensive ones do. I just chalk it up as the cost of doing business. The snus is cheaper, so if I lose a couple pouches it's no big deal. I buy exclusively based on flavor. Cost really isn't an object. They're all cheaper than even handrolling cigarettes, so I can afford to get exactly what I want. A broken bag just puts the price closer to the other brands.

I've tried L.D origianl(red), it's good. It's not my favorite snus, but I liked it. Again, for the price you can't complain.
