I think a flag would definately be a cool deal to give Sage for organizing this!

My cousin is in the Air Force and is a WSO on an F-16. He gave my family a flag that he flew in his cockpit on the first night of bombing on Baghdad. It is now a very treasured family heirloom that will be passed down for generations to come! 8)

Honestly, it was nothing really, just something that seemed like it needed to be done. And I have a personal stake, just having experienced the darkness of running out myself.

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone though - great job setting it up Sage. I just ran out two nights ago, been using Camel which, to put it easy, is the suck. Friday makes my order two full weeks, but with the Fourth of July on a Saturday I know thats going to slow things up as well. Hopefully it gets here tomorrow!

Anyway, thanks to the soldiers - we all appreciate the service. I would ship out a can or two of Camel snus but... yeah hah. Thank you!

BTW, I purchased from the Northener.com - just feels like it shouldn't take two full weeks to ship a weightless product overseas. The product was shipped on 6/26 and it's still not here. Maybe I'm just bitching.

But the lady at the PO said it should get there in 10 to 12 days. Hell l'd be willing to send him a couple of cans every few weeks. He's overseas serving our country for christ sake! He shouldn't have to pay for snus!! 8)

Should send a can a week, get a small list going. Any soldier can make a post, as long as we're sending to a base - we will have someone ship one can a week. As Badfish says, he's serving our country, shouldn't have to pay for snus.

Guys, I know the offer is right. But.... We are already killing my friend just by doing as little as we have done. He REALLY isn't that comfortable letting strangers help him. (Yes, I know, lame, I told him to get over it privately. :wink: )

I think what has been done is already almost more than he can take.

BUT...

I really like the idea of us being sensitive to when there might be a need. Tough world, bad situations, and all the rest sometimes leaves someone hard up. It is not the first time someone has taken care of someone else here. Maybe more privately that we will never know. But I like the idea that we are ready to act when we learn of a need.

So let's be ready for the next one.

I'm sure it's more than he can snus :wink: (anytime soon) But I agree, there are situations that are come up where it's just unforunate, similar to his where the order was never shipped out and he wasn't made aware until two weeks later.

I know I have called around every tobacco, cig, cigars, everything around here within 30 miles and NOBODY sells snus. They act like I'm stupid just because I ask if they have it. "Snus? What?" - "That stuff Camel makes... just not the Camel kind." - "OHHH, no, we don't sell that".

Luckily if you are in the US, Northener opened the U.S. warehouse where it should be delivered within 2 or 3 days.

I think that's a great idea! As long as they have military address. Not 123 Maple Street. 8)
