    Well done rscott222!!

Thank you. You wanna know the one thing that has pleased me most these last few months???

I keep seeing these folks I remember when they were brand new just becoming so good at giving back to the next generation now coming in. I have been a member of many, many good web communities, dating back to my pre-web BBS days. And I can never remember ever seeing such an amazing inflow of such quality new folks who quickly mastered their craft, so to speak, and so eagerly have taken on the role of teaching the next wave of new folks.

Sorry to hijack this thread. But your response just crystallized for me what exactly has made me so passionate lately about Snuson. (Despite a bit of less than fun a bit ago) You, ddandb -- Mr. Box Pass Man and if you saw it, you would understand why I gush as much as I do at just what a kick ass job he did in instigating and executing such a cool idea that us old fogies here never would of thought of.. ... .... And so many others I would get in so bad trouble for forgetting if I tried to name everyone. But EVERYONE here knows all that I am talking about.

You guys just rock. Thank you for all you are doing to make Snuson so compelling these days.

Now back to Newbie thread.

Well my Snus arrived Friday. I got a can of Gen. wintergreen, and a Gen. Sampler. I figured my first real Snus should be the original, so I tried the General Original. Despite reading many posts on this board, I just couldn't help it, I had to smell the Snus before popping it. You guys are right, DO NOT SMELL IT FIRST!! Despite that little setback, I stuck it in, and tasted the salt, pepper, lemon, and slight buttery goodness and fell in love. Later I tried the wintergreen, and really liked it as well. Now I just want to order 1 of every kind there is and try them all. They were much softer in my mouth then the camels, and the nicotine was much more intense. This is def. gonna be my new thing. BTW my wife's cousin dips American, and a few weeks ago I gave him a Camel frost. He laughed and said it was weak. I gave him a Gen. Wintergreen and he said it was weak right after he popped it, but 5 mins. later had to spit it out. Said it was too strong! Any recommendations you guys coulod give on Snus that is less peppery would be cool. I don't mind the salt, but pepper was a little stronger.

      Thank you everyone.

I ran across your thread Zman when you got your first shipment, and that is exactly how I feel. I don't think I could do that many that fast like you did though. lol.

If you like the citrusy bergamot flavor, try Skruf. Both Stark and Stark white are excellent IMO. They have a nice bergamot flavor without the pepper. They are also advertised as having a touch of rose oil flavor, which sometimes I can taste, and other times I can't...weird. But no matter, it's an excellent snus, and if you don't feel ready for a strong portion, it also comes in a regular strength.

Only thing weaker than normal portions are mini portions.
I once gave a dipper in Canada 3 snus'. He was rather drunk though, and requested them all at once. Probably used to American dip portions, which is not unusual to take 3 - 4 of at once.

Mini portions are nice and concealable, whereas, what I noticed atleast, is that normal ones give me a lil bump in my cheek.

Snus really is amazing. I have only smoked one cig. that I bummed from my wife, and it tasted like shit.

Yeah, cigarettes taste weird after snus. It should be easier than I first thought to quit.

I've worked close to where you're at. In 2006 I did the survey for Riviera Utilities in Foley.

Wow that is close. I have family in Foley. I've been to a couple of shows in Birmingham, and my wife went to school in Monte Valleo. sp?
