While was checking the posts I tried some Jake Fruit Ice, and this is the first official snus that I didn't like. It tastes like it has artificial fruit cough drop flavor in it. It almost made me gag. Oh well, back in the freezer and Roda Lacket coming out. I've been dying to try it.
Anyone try Jake's and didn't like it @ first but grew fond of it later?

I liked it right off. I was just thinking today that I particularly enjoy that snus, and I'm not totally sure why. I think a lot of it was anticipation of new snus coming from my favorite manufacturer, and the IceFruit was the first I tried of the 2. It almost has a nostalgic quality to the experience. It's an odd one for sure, and I wouldn't expect it to be a universal favorite.Originally posted by rscott222Anyone try Jake's and didn't like it @ first but grew fond of it later?

The only commonality is the trademark Gotland bitterness in the back. The Classic is somewhat like the Gul, but with more of an orange character, and I think kind of hoppy. Someone here said it reminds them of beer, and I agree. It tastes like it has hops in the blend, but I don't know if it does or not.Originally posted by rscott222How does the Ice Fruit contrast with the original?
The ice fruit is like nothing else on the market. Both the fruit and the mint are pretty light for a flavored snus. It's got a slightly cooling fruitiness. Some say it tastes like toothpaste, or JuicyFruit gum. I lean more towards the gum side. It's really the only Gotland product I wouldn't recommend outright. I like it, but it's a really strange flavor. It's one of those things a person has to try for themselves, kind of like Probe.
Edit:
I wasn't paying attention to who I was quoting. I guess you already know what it tastes like :^D

I also enjoy Ice Fruit to an extent. I can't buy it very frequently, but it is a very refined taste of mint. Catch Eucalyptus makes me ill, it's so disgusting to me. Jakes Classic is pretty good; I likened the taste to chocolate covered oranges. After a while, though, I couldn't use it anymore and my last portion of Classic ended up dry as sandpaper at the back of my fridge.

I don't know tbh. I like to keep things constant in whatever conditions they happen to be in. Personally I wouldn't freeze/thaw more than twice. I don't have evidence that it's harmful; It just doesn't /feel/ right to me.Originally posted by rscott222How many times can you freeze, unfreeze snus?
Only one to go back in after being thawed in the fridge.

I'm not the kind of guy who uses 6 different types of snus per day. I usually have one stark, one regular, and one los open at all times. Sometimes, I get a little bored, and grab a can of something else from the freezer, steal a portion, and put it back in. No harm done.Originally posted by lxskllrI don't know tbh. I probably have 15 different snuses open in the fridge :^D Once I pull one out of the freezer, it stays out. I use 3 or 4 different snuses during the day, but those 3 or 4 change from day to day.Originally posted by Snusophile

Right now I have 5 open + thawed:
Grov Svart - Morning and Evenning
Ettan - Workhorse
Catch Peppermint - for work
Phantom Classic - open but can never keep at it
1 open in fridge:
RL - on deck after Ettan gone
I typically only keep 3 open max but decided to try Jake's since Ettan's almost gone.
