Snus N00B

Been lurking for a few weeks & decided to register. Started out with Camel Frost, found this forum, & recently received my first order from GetSnus.com.

My first order was the flavored portion sampler & General white portions. I thought I would like all the flavors but the General whites have become my favorites. The only portions from the sampler that I can actually stomach are the Offroad Coffee/Vanilla. & General mini-mint (mystery can).

I'm now contemplating my second order and would like some recomendations. Thanks.

The best recommendation I can give is to try them all :^D

Everybody has different tastes. For snus along the same line as General, I would go with these...

Granit
Gustavus
Gotland Yellow
LD
Ettan
Grov
Lucky Strike

There's a bunch more, but these are similar, but different in their own way.

If you didn't care too much for the flavored stuff give Ettan and Grov a try.

You might wanna give Roda Lacket a whirl too. It's mighty tasty. A bit of flavor, but nothing wacky.

One thing that is for sure is that snus is like people of the opposite sex (if you swing that way I guess, maybe even of the same sex). Some folks like em big, some like em small. Some like em with blond hair and others prefer red heads.

Also, if at first you don't like something, don't throw it away at first. our tastes will change over time and something that tasted like a monkeys ass to you today might taste like heaven in a tin next week

As for flavor recommendations, lxskllr hit it right on the head! The ones he listed are along the similar vein of a more tobacco centered flavored type.

Always feel free to mix it up a bit with new flavors and types and before long you too will be sharing the praises of your favorite snus!

I guess I'm a girl-drink-drunk. I would also look into Northener's Top 10 if you liked General White the best. You get a deal plus a great variety to try out. Try again tomorrow because at first the stronger snus' take out the weaker ones if you try them one after the other and might actually like one of them. Did you get a General sampler with yours? Did you like the original? Heavy pepper and some citrus (I think like lemon) at the end.

that's so weird. no matter what i order from getsnus, my mystery can is ALWAYS general mini, but not mini-mint. i guess i order so much mini mint from them they dont want to give me any free.

I would think NJ West would be the mystery can since they have some to get rid-of before it expires.

Getsnus mystery can is always a COMPLETE mystery to me. They kept sending me mint and wintergreen flavored stuff, which I have no use for. I sent them a very polite request to not receive anything minty or wintergreen since I had no use for it, and ever since then it seems like my mystery can is directly related to the rest of my order. For example, if I order a roll of Ettan or Grov los, it'll be a can of Ettan or Grov portions. If I order a bunch of white portions of something, the mystery can will be another white portion and so on. No extreme examples since then, but I still have no idea what it will be until it gets here. Last order it was Skruf Stark Loose.

My mystery can was General mini too. Not a fan of regular portion, but I can't complain. Getsnus rocks. They also sent me two free cans of Jakobsons Ice Fruit too!
