I'm all over this; Taboca is not one I can do everyday but I really like it a lot. Much like Gotlands-Gul but not as bright (only word I can think of to describe the flavor difference).
This may sound like a lame reason to try out some snus, but I am all for the taboca loose/minis because I like the sleek, slender, fancy-pants design of the can. Still wish it wasn't the traditional 'dip-round' shape but oh well. I think I am the only one with an issue over round cans.

Pretty much dead on. I've said it before and I will say it again. Taboca tastes like a flat version of Gotlands Gul to me. I know some people think I got a bad can but I think the taste just doesn't appeal to me.
I debated adding a can of the Taboca lös to my cart for about a second when I placed an order at Buysnus this morning - until I saw that it comes in the same 35 gram can as the Montecristo. Went with another can of Ettan instead.
this is cool, im looking forward to trying a tin, i really enjoy toboca!
i gotta ask though, where do you guys find similarity between gotlands gul and toboca? I get lemon, rose and maple out of the gul and very strong bergamot with a hint of dried fruit (fig) in the toboca. I just cant see them being alike at all, although i do enjoy them both. oh well to each their own i suppose.
Yes, it doesn't have any actual Cuban tobacco in it.
They used to advertise that it did. I either saw it on their website, or on the tin, but it was definitely there. They didn't advertise that detail as strongly as they did the other brands, so I'm not sure where the truth lays.

Methinks the similarity comes from the fact that, until recently, they were both made in the Taboca factory probably with the same base tobacco.

If it did, then Northerner would simply not send it here. Northerner seems to have no desire to cross US Customs.

I can see why someone wouldn't like Taboca. At first it tasted like upholstery cleaner to me. Once the actual flavors started coming through I really started to enjoy it.
I might toss a can of los in now that summer is coming and I can use it outside!
Yeah, great marketing. But still, if it DID have any Cuban tobacco, no way Northerner would send it. Customs doesn't care how little is in there, stupid Cuban embargo.
Known worldwide as the only snus manufacturer to produce the Cuban tobacco brands Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, Taboca AS also manufactures the Taboca brand of Swedish snus.
I'm only growing one type of seed this year. I wanted a seed that would grow well for my location. As much as I want to grow a Burley or Dark Air Cured...
