Ettan...opinions

Ettan los and my Icetool were part of my second order and I have been using them both since.

This is one I have on hand and use often, a staple. The smoked tobacco profile suits my tastes just fine.

This topic has inspired me to put a pris of Ettan in. I started out with it as my first los, and liked it, but quickly grew tired of it. I need to give it another shot. Right now!

Ettan was and is my first favorite snus. Now and then I have to use some Grov OP or General for variety but Ettan is what I always go back to. When I get my Ettan los, that may change.

The loose is very nice. Maybe just a bit boring. Wasn't a fan of the portions.

I don't use Ettan nearly as much as I used to; I just kind of gravitated away from it, much like most of SM's brands. I order a tin every once in a while, but that's pretty much it.

When I AM in an Ettan mood, it's usually with the morning coffee, as always.

What are the major differences between white and original? I have a can of white portions and am finding myself running through this can pretty quickly. I think it will be my first roll order. I would like to try Ettan original portions or get precise feedback before I make a decision though.

I love Ettan Loose because the flavor last about times as long. I generally keep a pris of loose for 4 hours compared to almost an hour on portions.

I love Ettan Loose because the flavor last about times as long. I generally keep a pris of loose for 4 hours compared to almost an hour on portions.

Essentially the only difference between any original portion and it's white portion is that the originals are pre-soaked in it's juice, the white portions are dry, no pre-wetting. As for taste differences, the originals tend to "juice up" faster, which provides faster nic IMO and faster flavor. The white portions take a few minutes to "juice" and the flavor comes on a little less strong, and tends to last a bit longer than the original portions.

That's my take on it, but there are others here more qualified than I to answer your question...

I dont think Ettan portions should carry the Ettan name.

The Los is wonderful and I am really suprised SM doesnt use Ettans long history as its flagship snus, but whatever.

I really love the Ettan Los as its has a nice sslt n tobacco flavor while the portions are like a choc pudding flavor with lil to no salt.

Same with the white ( Vit ) portions, This si the only Snus ive had where the Los was Amazing and the portions were like a different brand.

I do like the Ettan los better than the portions, and have never even tried the vit portions because Ettan portions don't need to be "more" subtle.

I don't see that much of a difference between the los and portion flavor though...a little less of the chocolate in the los, but hey I'm still new to this.

Now, I feel about Gots Gul portions, like you do Ettan portions. I love the Gul los, but hate the portions, and I keep trying them, just to see if it's me, lol. Who knows

Its been awhile since ive had Gul Portions but I remember liking them.

I will say nowhere near as much as I do their Los but at least if I had to use them I would.

Ettan Portions arent as bad as I make them sound but to me they are just bad because their connection to the Los is WAy off.

The only snus ive had that I would never buy again is Elixr PE and Offroad Tranbar
