    V2 portion material...WTF?

here's my issue. I like phantom blue ok. It tastes kind of like ginger altoids to me, and I actually like a little "throat feel"(no less funny way to put that) when I snus. It's so cheap that I would try to use it regularly

One thing is keeping me from buying more(or even using more), this long-complained about portion material! everyone who complains is absolutely correct, This material is just so not inviting, not pleasant, and discouragin in every way. Right now I have phantom blue and LD black in the fridge, it is like night and day. The LD black portions are the best I've ever felt and phantom portions look like I made them with a coarse thread out of some military-grade khaki pants.

I hear that the new V2 flavor portions are a different material. I require proof of this, and not only that, I will require that whatever this improved material is is used in the whole V2 collection before I even consider using or buying more. V2, I like your company in many ways, and actually one of your main flavors now. This portion material is turning people away everywhere

I heard the portion material for these was made for marijuana plant fibers.

and you have a problem with that?

the material might be alittle coarse at first but you get used to it very quickly. Now I actually prefer it to the silky soft portion materials. Toughen up a bit my friend.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Ive had V2 portions before and didnt realize what all the fuss was about.

I found them to be just like any other portion, a cheaper form of course, but nothing ruff or uncomfortable beyond use.

Guess my gums have just grown use to having some form of snus in there at all times and the sensitivity issue is no longer a factor.

Patrick has said that V2 has already changed the portion material. Perhaps yours is an older version?

I have been using Phantom for 3-4 months now and the portion material has never bothered me, in fact I think it's one of the more comfortable ones out there.

I have never really had a problem with V2 portions other than the fact that they seem slightly larger than everyone else's. They did seem a bit rough at first, but I got used to it fairly quick.

I haven't ordered any Offroad portions in a while....I'll have to order some to check out this new material.

We changed in sommer 2008 the "paper-material" to the same supplier as Swedish Match and the rest....
So all portion produced after august 2008 is made with the same material.

So the products that should be avalible now should all be the good "material"....

well, I appreciate you responding to consumer demand. maybe it's the existence of extra portion material? the seam the bag has along it's side is rather large, whereas some other brands don't even have one.

I'm not trying to bust balls here, I just still find the portions abrasive and I wish I didn't because I like phantom blue. At this time I don't feel it's worthwhile to toughen up.

Even if you're using the same as SM, I don't typically like SM products and it might be for the same reason

I've never really had a problem with ANY portion material, that is until I tried Marlboro snus. WTH is that stuff made of? Cardboard?? But, even with those horrible portions, after a good 10 minutes, the material finally softens up. Perhaps the same is true with the V2 portions??

Not the true... i know the different. Marlboro use some much "harder" material then use with an flavor strip inside

I think that if you have that big of a problem with portion material, you should man-up and use loose.

Thank you V2. Your participation is always welcomed. I've been useing offroad for a few years and now, come to think of it, they do seem softer lately. I espicially noticed the new samples you sent out to some of us seemed to be even softer. And the moister the better..........for me.

hilarious... "you better man-up and use the softest variety available!"

loose isn't any more manly, though I am considering a re-visit to it, particularly in the case of V2 products. just can't use it at work. my tentative snus-plan is the elixyr in the morning, extra strong portions during work then a nice relaxing delicious pinch at night... maybe. if that works well enough I'd only be using 3-4 portions and one pinch of loose total
