New Snus user looking for some reccomendations

Hi guys, I'm fairly new to the world of snus and I've been using the (please don't be mad haha) Camel Snus to quit smoking. I do like the flavor of the mellow and frost flavors but there doesn't seem to be enough nicotine in the portions. A buddy of mine is into the swedish stuff and i've tried his Skruf but it seems a little too bitter for my taste.

So, what I'd like to know is:
is there any snus in sweden that tastes remotely similar (sweet and not bitter) to the camel snus? I can only imagine the amount of carcinogens in this stuff and I'd like to get off the camel and on to an authentic snus asap.

    Thanks guys

I'm not big on the wintergreen flavor. Tends to make me nauseous.
I'd really prefer something more along the lines of the 'mellow' camel flavor. But peppermint is good, too... If that exists in a swedish variety.

My buddy said I should try something called 'Probe'? Is that similar to the mellow flavor?

I also forgot to mention that I really love the style of the camel portions. Theyre small and very discreet. No one ever has any idea that I'm snusing when I've got a portion in. When I tried the skruf, I couldn't smile or really even open my mouth without someone knowing that I have something in my upper lip. So, also, any reccomendations on mini portions would be great too!

          Welcome to Snuson snusX

There really isn't any Swedish snus that will taste similar to Camel. My suggestion is you just go for it, try some Swedish stuff, even non flavored snus. Most people, even when they hates it at first, quickly turned around and came to like it. Given how much you were paying for cigarettes, you really aren't risking much.

Nick and Johnny is slightly sweet and has plenty of nicotine.

My personal recommendations are LD Black and Offroad Wintergreen.

Welcome aboard and as far as sweet (or slightly more sweet than normal) snus, there are a few:

                Mocca Pommegranite (5mg nic)

                Mocca Licorice (5mg nic)

Oomph Citrus / Menthol (6mg nic)

Most Phantom (now called something like Rothbrix) are slightly sweet, but an aquired flavor.

Oden's flavors are pretty sweet myself and the cinnamon isn't bad at all!

                Probe Whiskey

There is a small list for yas!

Give the CatchDry Eucalyptse a try... the portions fit just right and you don't get a lot of drip. Also tastes pretty good.

Elyxir Peppermint is very good. Closest to american dip/frost I've found.

Probe is hit or miss... either you'll like it or you won't.

                      As to mini's, I can't help.. I don't use them.

Trust me on the Elyxir peppermint though, it's very good.

I've actually found that Nick & Johnny East has a similar flavor to Camel Spice, but not nearly as sweet. Kind of a cinnamon and cardamom flavor.

I would stay away from Nick & Johnny East tastes like you licked out your grandmothers purse.

Try Jakobsson's Icefruit, sweet enough minty fruity flavor.

But if i were you i would try the loose snus. You can bake little pris so its discrete and you would be in flavor country my man. The loose flavors that I could recommend would be the Phantom line, Odens classic and Kanel (cinnamon), as well as Probe (which was also mentioned), Göteborgs Rapé, Göteborgs Prima Fint (good sweetness here), Gotland Grey (if you are into Black Licorice), Offroad Cranberry (shes kinda sweet) and to top'er off try Nordströmmen Loose Limited Edition i hear great reviews and well can't vouch for it yet since i have yet to receive but the guys here are hardly ever wrong (except the shit they say about V2 products).

                            How to...

Start with a tobacco only flavored Snus. If you accidently pick up a peppery or salty snus that is ok.
If you want to gradually pick up the snus taste from Camel brands to Swedish/Dane snus this is what I did...
I had to quit smoking. I used Camel Snus when I could get it. I had to drive a very long distance when it was in trials in Portland.
                            I ordered from Northerner first.
When I received my order the first couple trys I thought, "This is crap!"
To be just I only ordered a few brands and did not know what to look for.
I knew I had to keep going.
I added powdered sugar to mine at first (one coffee packet per can and shake).
As I got used to the taste and then started really liking it I went straight Snus.
Also try Ooomp or Wise brand to start (without sweeting) if you liked the Camel brands but need a gradual conditioning to the real stuff.
After about 2 cans you'll be a Swedish Snus fan and you'll never smoke cigarettes again or seldom US dip.
                            I hope this helps...

So the Wise is "similar" to Camel?
                              I have a Wise can I haven't tried yet.
