Their los is definitely my favorite, although I can't really choose which flavor is #1 for me. I like the fact that the tins are plastic instead of that shitty cardboard that SM uses; that's important to me because I don't use los as often as portions, and the Swedish Match tins end up falling apart before I can finish them.

The portions? Well, it's true that it's not high-grade tobacco....you don't even have to look at it to tell, it's in that funky undertaste (is that even a word?). Like Xobeloot has said before, though......V2 products are like crack, and if you use them long enough, you'll be hooked like the rest of us.

Oh....but still.....no Phantom for me, thank you. :P

Yes, the V2 portions are a lot different. For some reason they decided to skimp on the portions. Not sure why, since more people use them than los.
I'm not totally against OR, btw, just a lot of it. I've got some Cranberry and Original Strong in my fridge right now.

And I agree with the SM los cans. They are ridiculously flimsy. Why the heck can't they use plastic like they do with the portions instead of cardboard? Don't they realize that moist snus and cardboard don't mix?

Speaking of SM cardboard cans and moist snus...

Just before I went to sea I picked up one of those thermoelectric Coca-Cola minifridges and stuffed as many cans of General Los in it as possible. (It turns out, that if you're willing to crush the cans slightly, and you remember to turn the fridge on its back before you open it, you can fit about 24 cans in there.) Anyway, my last 7 cans or so ended up getting...I don't know, overly moist? And they leaked snus juice all over the floor of the fridge.

I think someone once said that it is a tradition thing. Personally I don't mind them that much and generally find that the wax lining does work quite well to preserve the moisture. The robustness is definitely an issue and I would prefer a design similar to the Gotlandssnus or Skruf lös cans ...

I like the paperboard tins a good bit. I get a bit tired of having plastic in every facet of my life. I'd keep the paperboard, but use a tin top like traditional American dip.

I'm tempted to throw in a few cans of Offroad with my next order. I know it's mainly a love/hate snus, but it will be worth the few dollars if I end up loving it. I definitely plan on trying the Coffee Vanilla portion. Has anyone tried the Original portion or loose? If so, how is it?

Well I have recieved my order and have now tried the offroad cranberry strong. I think it is pretty darn good, though it does have a different type of feeling and flavor from the more expensive brands, but I definately like it.

I've got the original strong portion, it's very peppery.

this discussion of production costs vs. quality reminds me of one of the best things I've ever heard:

"there's fast, cheap, and right. you can only have 2"
