    I love Offroad

Their los is fantastic, especially the wintergreen, with a lovely sticky consistency. Also they seem to be the most inventive brands around, with interesting flavours and the longcut.

I've been using the strong cran portions which I also love and I've ust got some original strong portions too which seem pretty nice. The only complaint I have is that the portion bags are a little large, but folding them up is fine.

And they're relatively inexpensive! As a student that's very useful; more money for booze :P

I can't see myself using them exclusively, but I think 80% of my snus purchases will be OR.

I've only tried Phantom blue, but I'll get some Phantom Classic next order, see how I like it.

Only offroad i've tried so far is the wintergreen portions. Tastes ok with a good price. I just get the feeling the tobacco is a little sub-par in quality.

I started out thoroughly hating Offroad, but it now takes up half of my orders. Those prices cannot be beat. I love the los as well.......I wish they would come out with the limited edition flavors already!

It is sub-par, believe me. Just open up a portion of any V2 (Offroad/Phantom/Elixyr) snus and compare the look of the tobacco to any others like Swedish Match. V2 portions are disgusting in comparison.

if it is sub par oh well i really don't give a flying f#ck. Grade A versus Grade B tobacco what would a person expect for the price???

Yes the price is great, but the flavor is great as well. If the only thing that puts a person off is the fact its not the highest quality tobacco is fairly stupid.

V2 keep rocking the snus and please make some more longcuts too choose from!!

I love V2's los as well. It's so easy to use.

I need to ask because I'm not familiar; when I look at the tobacco, what determines if it is good quality snus tobacco?

I like the long cut variety's when I crave to pack a lip the way I used to with dip.

I like the long cut too. Gives my upper lip a chance to relax.

I can't stand their portion material.

Also their flavor seems to turn quite quickly.

Because of that, I can only keep a portion in for a fraction of the time from a standard producer, which negates Offroad's price.

You're right though, their long cut does resemble american dip. I use their wintergreen for the same purpose. The flavor is a strange mix between American wintergreen and snus tobacco flavor. I also sense there's some chemical additive as well, although there probably isn't.

If you look at the tobacco, (in the portions) brands like General and Goteborgs (pretty much any Swedish Match) have nice fine ground tobacco with an even color and texture. If you open a V2 portion, you'll see a much courser texture with chunks of stems and god knows what else in there. Not to mention the paper quality is crap.

And captncaveman, respectfully, if you didn't give a flying f, then why so defensive? I'm only telling what someone can prove for themselves by opening up a portion.

IMHO, anybody that thinks having nasty looking tobacco and harsher paper really makes the manufacturing cost that much less is kidding themselves. I would not take that much more work or money to make it decent.

If you want decent, good quality tobacco, look to Knox and Granit. The price difference between OR and Knox is nearly nonexistent and Granit is only a little bit more expensive. Both use decent paper and much higher quality tobacco.

Note that this is only my personal opinions. You are free to disagree or agree, I'm just giving you information that will help you decide for yourself.

Thanks Guys. You encouraged me to open my new can of Offroad Icemint portions. I am pretty sure I like it. My whole last snus order was V2 products.

Well, there was some snuff in there also. I have tried everything else so I figured it was time to go Offroad.

Who cares about the quality as long as you like the taste? It's still tobacco. The los is better in quality than SM IMO.
