45 minutes does me right. Since I like to shift the portion around after about 30 minutes to extract the last flavors, anymore than 45 minutes and the tobacco starts to come out.
How long do you snus for?

In terms of loose probably around an hour. Portions I just keep in until I feel a craving before I switch it out.

Really? I did not even think you were getting anything for at least 10 minutes.Originally posted by PennySDwow, makes my 15 minutes look bad. My buzz usually wears off by then and I spit it out and put in a new portion.

lol dittoOriginally posted by jackolanternI usually snus for about an hour or longer. While the nicotine is mostly gone, I don't get any kind of rush, or really even feel anything from it anyway. I mostly just keep them in for as long as I can, since I know I will just put another one in without about 10 or 15 minutes lol

One hour minimum, two hours on average, up to 5 hours in single cases (and up to about 8 hours if I sleep with snus). That didn't change since about one month after I started snusing. As a newbie I kept the prillas and portions for a slightly shorter time on average.
Cheers!

Graph for snus nicotine
A graph I viewed recently shows that after 35 mins the levels of nicotine in the blood decrease with snus. This makes sense to me, as I take my portion out at about that time. I find if you do that, and don't just let it linger, I find you are getting more pleasant 'hits'. Still, I do sometimes just leave them in for about an hour, you save money that way. Just depends how I feel.

My nicotine consumption is pretty much dictated by that "edgy" feeling you get when it drops too low. Last couple days at work have really sucked and I have been chain doubling on General ES. My average is still a couple of hours between change outs, but I do tend to put in a fresh one within fifteen minutes of taking out the old (often back to back).

Re: Graph for snus nicotine
That's accurate from my experience, but I don't think that the graph flattens much between minute 35 and minute 120.Originally posted by Paul JolleyA graph I viewed recently shows that after 35 mins the levels of nicotine in the blood decrease with snus.
Like NonEntity, I also mostly use a new prilla/portion, when I get the "edgy" feeling that I need more nicotine, which seldomly happens before 2 hours, but for someone who seeks the "maximum-kick", the "35-minute-rule" seems very appropriate.
I'm chainsnusing anyway, so someone who uses nicotine more like a rare treat, might even be happy with just 15 minutes of snus-use.
It's very personal, I think, but the "35-minute-nicotine-maximum" really sounds like a reliable measurement.
Cheers!
