lol. Okay, I'll scratch Probe off my list. I think I'll replace all the originals with the Stark/strong versions if available.

I don't think Probe is that bad. I finally included a tin in an order last winter and was pleasantly surprised. It went on sale
and I bought 5-6 rolls that are about gone. I don't know if I'd pay full price for it as for me its interchangeable with Grov or Ettan and I slightly prefer those.
But everybody's tastes differ. It must sell though considering how fast they discontinue snus that doesn't.

Now Gote Rape,thats different. They should be charged with crimes against humanity for even marketing something like that. :disgust:

I don't particularly want a flavored snus but thought I'd try it since the General Mint is a nice change up from the original white portion. Bought 4 cans of the Wintergreen and will probably throw it away. Good thing I bought in NC where it's relatively cheap.

Phantom Blue loose and pouches or on Snus24.com website and with them you don't have to sign for UPS. I did hear though that you will get a $17.00 charge in the mail from UPS about a week later. My Friend orders it for me because I am in Africa and they don't ship to military addresses.
The Gotenborgs Rape XR slim white is really good, I think.

Yeah, not sure I want an additional shipping charge. I've heard the Rape mentioned a lot but my wife may freak out when she sees that word on a can of snus.

The best thing I know to do is to try a variety and see what you like................keep in mind your taste will change as you ween off of cigarettes..........so hold off on bulk buys of just one kind.......and don't throw anything away.........if at first you don't like it, put it in the freezer and revisit it in a few months

I would give Grov a try (it and Ettan are kind of the snus version of the Elvis or the Beatles debate), I would also give Skruf a try along with Gustavus, and Phantom Blue..........each of these is pretty different from what you have tried so far and will give you a feel for the range of the non-fruity snuses.......Tre Ankare and Roda would also be good to try

If you don't like pepper I would avoid (for now) Extreme, Knox. You can try those later. If you don't like bland hold off on trying Prima Fint

Yeah I made a mistake of ordering 4 cans of Ettan already, should have just bought Islay Whisky. I've tried using General's Wintergreen off and on but still hate it. Makes my breath fresh though.

I looked through SnusCentral's site and read their reviews. So many brands to choose it's making my headspin. From what I read, I think I'll try the following soon:

I saw Skruf on their site so I'll add that to my list. Not sure if I saw Gustavus, Phantom Blue, Tre Ankare, and Roda but I'll look again.

Pepper is okay but not my preference right now. Yep, it's finally time I quit for good. Going to get back into running and trying out road cycling so it will be stupid to continue smoking.

Give Skruf Tranbar a try, that is cranberry flavor.

I hate cranberry actually lol. I never really liked the fruity snuff varieties which is why I settled on Copenhagen.

Snusdogs suggestions are all solid, especially prima fint being bland, I still don't like that stuff!

As for the not getting a buzz, wait until you try some snus that can put some hair on your chest. You've been using pretty regular strength stuff( except for the Islay which is around 12 mg/g I think ) wait till you try some extreme/ultra strong or Siberia, I've had more then one nap because of strong snus.

I looked at the bag o snus option but was afraid of being stuck with a bunch of cans that I hate. With the General White portions I tried stuffing two pouches in my lips to satisfy my nicotine cravings. Way too much pepper though. If I end up passing out from snus my wife will definitely ban me from ordering more. She thinks I'm crazy as it is ordering tobacco from Sweden when I can buy General from 5 miles away. She also prefers I quit tobacco entirely. Don't think I can ever do that though since I don't drink or do any type of illegal drugs. I need some type of vice.

Hello everyone,

Just started using snus about a month ago. Trying to finally give up smoking once and for all. So far I've tried General white portion, General original portion, General Wintergreen portion, and General Mint portion (all from Royal Farms). I liked the white portion (a little too peppery though) and the mint. Wintergreen was kind of nasty to be honest. Started to read about the various Snus brands and ordered 6 cans of Islay Whisky and 4 cans of Ettan portion. I think the Islay Whisky stinks (kinda smells like fish to me) but tastes great. It's my favorite so far. The Ettan is a little milder/smoother with a taste of chocolate (at least that's what it tastes like to me lol).

Anyway, what would you guys/gals recommend I try from here? Or, will Islay Whisky be made indefinitely? If it is, I'll just stick with it. I dipped many years ago and my brand of choice was Copenhagen long cut. Also, I'm still not sure what people are talking about when they mention they feel a buzz from the nicotine. I've never felt that with snus so far.
