Is there any minty swedish snus?

I just quit smoking a month ago and have been enjoying Camel Snus Frost but the small pouch size annoys me(I typically have to dip two) and the fact that I am paying $5 for 9 grams of tobacco when I could get three times that in a can of skoal pouches for less money.

Anyway I am a huge fan of peppermint and smoked Marlboro Smooth's which are peppermint flavored menthols from the month they were released(I think it was January of 07) so I am used to enjoying minty tobacco.

Is there any real swedish snus that fits the bill? I mean I am not averse to normal tobacco in fact I enjoy dipping Redman Chew on occasion and smoked Camel Wides for four years. I'd just prefer mint. I have been browsing snuff sites and can't find anything that fits the bill.

A Peppermint flavor would be preferable as opposed to other types of mint. Oh and portion is a must.

If there isn't one what would you suggest me buying as a first time orderer of authentic snus(like I said I don't mind strong tobacco flavor as I've enjoyed Redman chew and Copenhagen snuff)

    Thanks in advance guys.

edit: By the way I have seen the CatchDry peppermint but I am not interested in paying $4 for 6 grams of tobacco in tiny pouches

F&L made a great peppermint snus, but sadly it's no more :^( I tried Elyxir Pepparmint, and I threw it out. I don't like Offroad Icemint portions, but I have hopes for the lös which I'll try on my next order. The only other one's I can think of are Jakobsson's Ice Fruit which is lightly minty, with a subtle berry flavor(I like it a lot), and Catch Eucalyptus which is another favorite of mine, but not really a true mint. It's predominately eucalyptus with some minty notes.

I saw the Ice Fruit while browsing but I couldn't find a nicotine level of it online. Does it feel as strong to you as the normal 8mg levels of other pouches?

Thanks for the quick response by the way.

All the snus' I listed are standard strength as long as you get them in the full sized portions. The Jakobsson's is a top quality snus. You may not end up liking it, but there aren't any quality issues with it. The only problem is the mint's subtle. It's probably not what your looking for, but it's the closest imo to a quality mint snus. It's what I've settled on for my mint fix pending my trial of Offroad Icemint lös.

Keep in mind that I don't like the flavor of Offroad portions, but you may very well like them. It's cheap enough that you can try it without being out a bunch of money. It's definitely mintier than the Jakobsson's.

I'd try the Offroad but A) It's cheap and I don't want a bad introduction to Snus and B) it says limited so if it is good and I like it I don't want it to be ripped away from me

Anyway I'll give the Jakobsson's ice mint a try and the eucalyptus a shot

Is the Elyxir so bad it's not even worth trying? Like smoking a Doral or budget cigarette?

Anyway what non minty types do you recommend? From my limited research General seems to be a pretty well liked brand? Any others if I were to lets say buy 5 tins to experiment?

Get LD Black then. It's the best portion licorice available imo. If you get into lös snus, try the Offroad Liquorice. It's like LD Black in lös form.

To more directly answer your question, Metropol licorice is pretty good, but it's much dryer(not sweet) than the LD. That's not to say the LD is sugary... It has a creamy lusciousness that I find more appealing, where the Metropol is more herbal. Speaking of herbal, Gotland Grey would be a good choice for an herbal licorice flavor. It's actually anis, but that's more or less a licorice flavor. LD Black for pure licorice goodness, Gotland Grey for herbal complexity. Those are my suggestions :^)

I don't know why people didn't say this right off the bat..

You want minty goodness? Catch Eucalyptus White Portion.

Ya, for non-minty General is a good buy. I just got some Lucky Strike White Portions a few days ago and Im almost halfway through the tin, real nice tobacco flavor and a little bit of a character that sets it apart(on the tin it says its toasted).Skruf is also one of my top portions its not mint but when I wake up it makes me feel fresh when the portion starts to leak a little. thats right 'freshest feeling' snus! but anyways youll find some good and bad based on trial and error (its the only way to go) theres not one snus discussed here that everone likes, its always a momentary thing as far as your taste goes but good luck.

Here's my list of 5 snus That I think are good for a new user that wants flavors.

                    General Onyx
                    LD Black
                    Catch Eucalyptus
                    Jakobsson's Ice Fruit
                    Gotland Grey

                    I found the Elyxir unusable. I think they're made by V2, and I don't like V2 portions.

Anyone tried the General Wintergreen? I haven't but it might be up gregron's alley.

I don't like wintergreen, so I wouldn't even consider it for myself. I think it gets generally favorable reviews from the people who've tried it though.

Yeah, I did a review on it...

It's really sweet, and will burn your lip off... Not a good starter snus IMO... Go with Catch Euc. That was my first snus, and I still like it for its refreshing flavor...

Swedish Match makes a brand of snus called Triumph Mint that is sold in America. Unfortunately, it is not available in Texas from what I've heard. I assume it will be in the state pretty soon because Camel and Marlboro snus are there.

I've *really* fallen off my horse as far as writing more reviews for you guys, but I'll emphasize lxskllr's suggestion of Gotlands Grey, especially in lös. I finished an extremely fresh can of it about a month ago, and it was absolutely heavenly. But Gotlandssnus tends to be heavenly all around
