Gotlandssnus is amazing, but I find I can't have too much of it at once, like getting sick after eating too much cake.

LOL, I've found that to be true as well. Definitely very rich stuff.

I bought a full roll of Eilxyr "Pepparmint"...yes, that's how they spell it. It's not bad, tastes basically like OffRoad Icemint, I actually don't know that I could tell the 2 portions apart in a blind test. Btw gregron: I don't think OffRoad will give you "a bad introduction to snus" it's far better than the Camel stuff, and you're still intrigued right? OffRoad is, in fact the only snus that any of my smoking friends liked enough to try again. You'll find better Swedish snus, but none so friendly to American snus-newbie taste buds as OffRoad. Plus, Elixyr and OffRoad are dirt cheap, sure portions don't last as long, but if you want minty those are my 2c.

by the way whats with these little top containers on some of the cans? Is it just a spot to put like 3 snus pouches so you don't gotta try to dig your fingernails under the can

I think thats where you spit.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

That's correct. As to recommendations for your next order... You should go through what you have now and figure out what it is you like, and don't like about them. Many snus flavors aren't so cut and dry that you can say I hate/love everything about it. With a better grasp of what it is you're looking for in a snus, we can give better suggestions.

Little pop tops are where you can put used snus when there's no place to toss them.

Where I live, supply at the local tobacco store is limited, but I've grown to like General Wintergreen and the CatchDry Peppermint is a weekly purchase (2 cans). The CatchDry is always pleasant; the General is, as noted, a lip burner of the first rank and takes some getting used to.

I wish General would bring out a wintergreen los! I'm really tempted to try the portions, but the bags are so uncomfortable in my mouth. They really tear my lip up and make my gums sore. Plus, I believe I get a lot more flavor (and yummy juice!) out of the los. I wonder if a few well placed and worded letters to SM could make some headway?

I wish the CatchDry Peppermint was available at Buysnus =/ I really liked it the one time i bought it locally but $6 is just too much to make it a habit.

Guess the Elixyr will do.

Same here. Wish they sold peppermint@buysnus. It is my favorite one when I'm snusing in public. Good mint flavor, mini portion easy to conceal and strong pouch means no messy "oops tobacco all over your teeth" while you weren't looking.

I'm sad to say that in private, I prefer the taste of camel original, the snus you can't be proud of. You never know what you're going to get. Sometimes the pouches are fat, sometimes thin. More often than not, the pouches leak and you get snus mouth. I'd say 75% of the tins are like this. Right now, I'm lucky to have a good tin. I can suck the life out of each pouch for hours.

It's real easy to flavor your own snus should you want to. Maybe if you used a really neutral flavored snus like Ettan you could come up with something special:

Just posting to say that Skruf is pretty damn awesome. Like it far more than General Onyx or Sterk.

I love Skruf as well, but I like to switch it up with General every once in a while, since the taste is completely different.
