    Thanks to everyone here!!

I am a new snuser - only about 3 weeks now, and ive have been using tourney snus up until today. I finally drove down to Ann Arbor to visit Maison Edwards tobacco shop and picked up some General original portions and some Catch dry mini in peppermint.
So far ive tried the General, and the first thing I noticed was the how much bigger the portions were. These things have to be at least 3 times bigger than the tourney ones. After having tucked in for 45 min. I have to say - ill never go back to the American stuff. The taste is very close to the same, but the general has so much flavor to it. And the nic buzz... I know it will eventually go away - but ill like it while it lasts.
On my drive home ill give the Catch a shot and report back. Thanks to the reading here i tried the actual Swedish stuff and ill never look back.

    Welcome to the forum djamwolfe,

I'm happy you finally have tried the real thing. Although I have never had the tourney, reports here from people who have have not been very kind. Definitely look into ordering from either Buysnus or Northerner. Both provide great service and your snus should get to you within 4 - 6 days. You will have a whole world of choices available to you. If you must use American stuff again, the only one I can recommend is Triumph. Not available yet in many places but it is really yummy.

Again, welcome to the forum. Lots of good people around here, so stick around.

Im surprised on how sweet the catch was. I like it alot. The tourney mint was more of a natural mint - the catch was very candy like. One of these days i need to figure out what the difference is between regular and white portions.

White portions are dryer, slightly different manner in which they are made. Best way to describe it is the white flavor is a bit more muted, and is slower to come on. But typically, it lasts longer as well.

I have snused for about 17 months. After about 13 months, the flavors of regular snus started hitting me too hard, I would have to spit the snus out too soon. I have largely switched over to mostly whites, cause I now prefer the more muted flavor.

But that is now, ask me next month. If you read a lot here, or will find in your own experiences with snus, tastes in snus change frequently. Try a snus that you hate the first time, and then go back and try it again next month, odds are you will like it. Or find a snus that you absolutely love, don't be surprised if two months later, you don't like it any more. Such is the way with snus.

              Welcome!
My newest snus flame is Gotlands Green, which I believe only comes in portion...which is fine by me, I'm a 'green' snus user myself and haven't purchased any loose yet. I have quite a sweet tooth and the Offroad portions like apple, cranberry, Am. wintergreen and Icemint I've found pretty enjoyable as well.

The Noob likes Offroad, don't worry, you will grow out of it. I liked Boones Fram when I first started drinking. :P :P :P

LOL - I am liking the original flavors more right now. Does anyone make a more natural tasting mint flavor? I like the catch, dont get me wrong, but its a bit sweet for regular use.

Try icemint. Offroad is strong flavor. The Jacobson's is real subtle.
