N&J three varieties getting the ax

Say good bye to N&J original Edge Strong, White Heat Strong, And Black Tarmac Extra Strong. This is according to an e-mail I just received from Buysnus.

The black tarmac I can understand, even though it is a good snus ( have one in now) but OE and WH??? WTF??? I love both of them, so the current N&J lineup is radical red, crushed ice OP and white and the new green spyke! Seriously???? I want to try the spyke but why OE and WH, why??????

RIP Nick ... and Johnny ... you are dead to me now. I never thought the original portions would get the kick.

There are some hard-hearted bastards at Swedish Match.

I can't see how radical red sells better than OE and WH!!

I've never tried the RR but have a can coming in trade. I order mainly GES white long or not. But There is always a role of WH and OES on my order as well for variety. Not sure what I'll replace them with...... Would be Onyx but can't get that either. Guess I'll be getting skruf strong white or if the granit strong white is good.

Love GES and general strong white. Skruf stark and ES are sublime! Granit stark I like so if I could get it again I would use it. RR is good but not one you can use everyday, all day. Every now and then is fine, nice cinnamon taste and the burn from the chili is ok but can;t replace WH or OE!

I'm really surprised. I just order N&J OE for the first time, and while I'm not crazy about it, its a fine snus, and judging from my searching around here before I ordered, one that is beloved by the snus community. Is it possible SM is phasing out N&J altogether? Doesn't make any sense to eliminate the one true tobacco flavored snus from a line.

Either that or they are changing the recipe for OE and coming out with a new tobacco flavored N&J.

Nick and Johnny has been disappointing to me since they changed the name to Original Edge at which time they also lowered the amount of snus they put in each portion. It was once my favorite snus. My preferred snus now is General Long Xtra Strong, but I look forward to trying the new Grov Strong which are full one gram portions supposedly.

I think they'll keep it on as their experimental line. It's a fairly new brand, and was always positioned as a modern snus choice, so that gives them a lot of leeway for playing around with flavors.

I think it'll be the same way with the new Granits. Don't get attached to that stuff guys......

...WTF.... This Makes no sense to me and is a sad day in the snus world, N&J original Edge Strong has been a staple of mine in my daily rotation since I started snusing and was the first snus I was turned onto and liked at the time and still do.... The black tarmac I can understand, Hell! I would understand Radical Red and that should go... Hell How does Radical Red Chili beat out N&J original Edge Strong and that new spyke they plan on coming out with just plain sounds nasty to me, This IMHO is like discontinuing General Extra Strong.... Ooops! Better not give them any ideas

                              The marketing seems strange.
Ive never seen any product that cuts Staples of their line of products like Snus.
                              Terrible.
