You are talking about liquorice the root right? Coz all liquorice sweets taste more of aniseed than liquorice ... and what I'm talking about is pure liquorice. As long as we're all singing from the same hymn sheet about this most maligned of plants!

Liquorice on it's own is a slightly earthy root with a very sweet aftertaste. It's been used in both snus and smoking tobacco as a flavouring and softening agent for over 100 years. I'm almost certain it's in General, Skruf and Nick & Johnny and probably every other self-respecting masculine tobacco driven snus flavour.

Liquorice ≠ Anis ... please can we dispel that old chestnut here on SnusOn? This is the most informed snus site on the web isn't it?

Yea, they're similar, but definitely different. For the record, I'm a pretty big fan of both. When I was younger, there was an herb shop near me that sold licorice root. I used to get some, and chew it as is. Lasts forever, and tastes great.

I love aniseed...remember good and plenty. Remember fennel candy at the east Indian restaurants. Remember just plain old licorice Lakerol candy? I think it's a love hate kind of flavor. Or my first portion snus tonight from a trade that went great. licorice! Aodens original. I started with, Los to make my own and save $. I knew I would like it. I'm planning on a roll of the licorice extreme Los next order , in about 6 months. Also looking for Cranberry Tranbar White?

I just wanted to get them for myself! Pride. But I know all you guays would help. Sometimes I just want to be able to take care of my own. Northerner is out of the question, no sales to Maryland, so it's buysnus. I have wanted to try the Vanilla since it was released. Now coffee next week.
