Crazy idea

I have had this crazy idea going through my head as of lately. Why not make smoking illegal, but keep snus and electronic cigarettes legal. A lot of lives would be saved and it would force smokers to either go the route of harm reduction or quit. Any thoughts?

I think government interference is a terrible idea. They have no right, nor interest in protecting me from myself. I'd rather we remove every single law ever created, and start at the Constitution, then try not to be fscktards this time.

Have we not learned from alcohol prohibition, then MJ prohibition , that making something illegal only creates a black market for said items, and does not actually succeed in taking it out of intended users hands? Smoking kills, but as stated above, its not the gov't job to dictate how I live my life and what substances i abuse if I choose to.

The only thing is smoking has killed millions, including my grandmother most recently. I am all for freedom, but if there are safer alternatives...why smoke?

That's for the individual to decide, not the government. Birth is the leading cause of death world wide. I propose mandatory abortions until the problem is eradicated.

My dad is already starting the switch to electronic cigarettes thank goodness. I plan on also convincing him to try snus as well. I plan on doing the same for my grandpa who's a pack a day smoker.
