    Nick and Johnny West

My new order just arrived... got 5x NJ West, 1 NJ East, 5 General Sterk, and they threw in 5 free cans of assorted stuff for free! Catch Eucalyptus, Cassis Menthol, Catch Peppermint, Catch Licorice, and General Wintergreen portions. That was pretty cool of swedishsnus.com. Anyway I first dug into the NJ West strong portions and I am very pleased with it so far. Noticeable burn (which I like), good flavor, almost immediately tasted strong which white portions normally take a few minutes to get going. I think overall this is one of the best portion snus I've ever tried. The newer NJ cans are pretty cool too. I was worried about NJ because the first can I got a while back was loose, and I couldn't stand the flavor of it. This stuff is excellent! :P General Sterk is going to have to be pretty damn good to compare to this.

I love the Nick and Johnny reg portions, how do the west compare to the reg portions? I see there are 4 less portions and cost is higher.

I've had the East not the West. i was under the impression that the West are just like the reg Nick and Johnny in the round can except they are normal nicotine, not strong.

The East is real mild and slow to get flavor. When the flavor does come out it is in the potpouri category. Not strongly flavored, just wierd to my palate. I felt like I was snussing some of Grannie's potpourie.

The more I've tried the more I like them. They're extremely white portions. Pretty dry. The flavor that does eventually come out is solid tobacco with floral back notes. It is subtley flavored, at first I thought not at all. They're good. I'm partial to strong portions though.

I'll use them up and keep the can. Coolest part of the deal is I can reuse it. It is shaped more like a cell phone. No can ring in your pocket. It even has an ashtray top too.

Actually, the West are strong as well. It is really just a white version of regular N&J. Classic white, more muted flavor, not quite as sweet as regular N&J. I like it, and it's a nice choice occasionally, but not as good as regular N&J.

I'm with you on N&J West. It's one of my favorites, possibly my #1 portion snus... I like it better than the regular N&J portion. It's my go-to morning snus if I'm not up for los (strong black tea & NJW is the bomb!) General Sterk is (to me) very similar to NJW (as far as initial flavor, nicotine, etc) except the flavor doesn't seem to last as long.

It's been over a month since I last had any West. Soon, I am going to open my other can of Sterk and the West at the same time so I can do a direct comparison. But the General Sterk did kind of remind me of the West, but that is just going on fuzzy memory. So a more scientific comparison is in order for me.

Ive tried N&J Orig. and West

I liked the original, im quite fond of the original portion run, but i found the Whites actually offer a good run and long lasting flavor too.

I will probably ordr the regular portions next time since they are a sterk and you get 4 more pouches but i will also re-order these as well.

              Both are premium products.

NJ West is actually a strong white portion with 11mg Nicotine. It's got some kick to it, which is why I think I like it so much. East is a regular strength white portion. I'm not sure how these compare to the General Stark, I'll find out in about 30 minutes when I crack open the can

Alright, well I'm a freak for the N&J West as I've said in other recent posts. I have compared it to the Original and now to General Sterk. The flavor from the original does seem to go away quicker which makes sense because its is white vs regular. I seem to like white portions more anyways so the West wins that fight. The General Sterk is pretty darn good. It has a similar flavor and feeling as the west to me but just doesn't quite hit the mark as the west does. But you do get more portions with it which is always good. Honestly I think I'm just going to have to keep both of these on hand and switch them up because they are both really good and not that far off from each other.

Yup, that is my take as well.
