Right now it is very close to my favorite portion. It has much more tobacco flavor than most snus. Can't get General Onyx anymore and this stuff is amost tied with Onyx as my favorite. Both have strong snus flavors. Like the higher nicotine and more lemony flavor of Onyx, but tobacco in the Ving is a bit richer tasting and has just a bit more sweetness and slightly less salt.

By the way the regular Odens loose is my favorite loose. No flavorings at all, but an increibly delicious, complex tobacco flavor that lasts for well over an hour.

Thanks to Jagmass for trading these two Snus to ,e . Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have tried them. Haven't tried any of the high nic versions from Odens yet, but have two cans of the original Odens extra strong loose on order, thinking that if it tastes similar to the original Odens loose, I can just use a smaller pris and save more money.

The extreme does taste very similar to original but a bit richer on account of there being more tobacco in it

Actually, all tobacco undergoes some sort of curing/fermentation before it reaches the final processor, whether it is to be made into snus, snuff, pipe tobacco, or what have you. The important thing is that steam pasteurization used in snus manufacture creates an end product with very low TSNA counts. There is no such thing as an un-fermented tobacco product.

So, what other snuses are not pasteurized? What should I avoid? Will I have to throw out half my collection?

I have researched most snus on the market GN from what I have found has TSNA levels less than 1 PPM which is lower than most.

I'm sorry, but if I found out they actually made Odens original using cancer, I'd still use it. Right now its the building block of my daily rotation.

Larry, DrSnus and myself have all seen reports from Eurofins on the TSNA levels on the GN products and I assure you, they're on par or safer than many other products in the Swedish Snus range. I don't know if I ever did a follow up article on that, I'll need to check - I think Larry may have, but I'm not sure.
