Truth isn't the objective, only furthering anti tobacco ideology. More of the same will happen.

Here is a section of the document that shows they found no link between american dip and mortality through oral cancer.

Please note that this does not apply to the practice of dipping dry snuff which is proven to case oral cancer.

Also consider that the TSNA levels have gone down a good deal since those studies where done, both in Sweden and the USA. I have a feeling the gum problems from USA made dip is mostly from the sugar that is used. Perhaps the cut also.

Snus can also cause gum recession if you did not know. Having said that the finer the cut of the tobacco the kinder it is on the gums. This why I find snus kinder on the gums compared to say grizzly long cut wintergreen. Copenhagen snuff is kinder on the gums than long cut.

Portion snus causes least gum problems of them all.

That's how it's used in America. All those American dry snuffs you see are almost 100% used orally by the natives. Using snuff nasally is virtually unknown here.

Yup. It's more a southern thing, and traditionally used by women. I have no idea who's using it these days, but it's selling in MD. I've never seen anyone use dry snuff. I'm guessing it's old timers, and once they're gone, the American brands will start to fade away. If you have any interest in American snuff, I'd get them while you can. For the most part, they keep very well, and will be good decades into the future with proper care.

Yes dipping nasal snuff has the highest TSNA's of them all in smokeless tobacco. Used as intended snuffed up the nose presents no major health issues however.
