Anyone else hate Ettan?

I know my tastes will change as they have already, but I am still not coming around to the Ettan. I like the straight tobacco flavors like N&J (looove it) and Skruf Stark but Ettan just seems sour to me.

I have never been an Ettan man. Tastes like a boot. Grovsnus is so much better for a pure tobacco taste.. but thats just me.

I have to agree. I've had all 3 types (portion, white & loose). The loose especially seems kinda bland & tasteless. It's not a *bad* snus by any means.. But my first choice for "straight" tobacco taste is Grov.. Then there's General, Lucky Strike, Gotlands Yellow, etc. etc. I might pick up another tin of the white portions at some point, they were pretty good.

Hate to buck the trend here, but I am an Ettan fan. I usually start my day with a portion of either Ettan or Grov and a hot cup of coffee. Today it's Ettan and I am really enjoying it.

Same here - started today with a pris of Ettan and a cup of coffee I think it's great - subtle flavour, not too salty, leathery and smoky. Love it.

There is a brand of cigars in America called "Back woods" that tast alot like Ettan to me (the butt of the cigar, not the smoke.) That being said; Etan is just avarage for me, but I wouldn't Think it's hateable. I do agree that Grov is a far better taste.

Can't say I'm a fan either. Not that I hate it, though I think it's highly overrated. To me the portions are too runny and the pris is too flimsy. It tastes nice but it's a frustrating product, imo.

Just to help even it out:

Ettan lös was the first single flavor roll I bought, still have some, still really like the mellow, traditional (I'm assuming), flavor, usually always have one of these open. That said,I've never tried the portion, wasn't sure if the flavor would translate well in portion form.

I agree. The loose is a mess. And the portions seem to be poor quality.

I figured Ettan was the snus you couldn't go wrong with. Just good. I have white portions which I use at work and loose which I use at home. I compared it to the Gotlands yellow and the Gotlands had an interesting taste but was not as mild as the Ettan. Ettan is a mild good tasting snus.

But I don't really care for Nick and Johnny for example, and can't take lucky strike or Skruf Stark, so .... Maybe I am just a mild snus kinda guy.

Hello everyone!
My first post here on the forum, and of course I'm from the snus loving country Sweden.

Ettan has never been in my intrests because it only tastes sour.
Since I'm new here and don't have to order my snus like the rest of you guys, I haven't tried every "odd" brands like Gotlands, Elixyr etc.

My opinion amongst my friends and me is that you either love or hate Ettan.

I like Ettan pretty well, but it's never really been in my regular rotation (if I even really have one; since I tend to bounce around quite a bit). I don't think I will ever order a whole roll of it, but so far Knox is the only one I order in roll quantities, anyway. :wink:

That being said...Ettan and coffee IS the best! 8)
