    Skruf always that dry?

    dear snusers,

i have a question about my favourite snus, skruf. is the skruf-snus always a bit less moist than other snus brands? somehow it always seems a little too dry when it is delivered and i wonder if that is always the case with skruf. the best before date is always ok (3 month in future). only if i press on the skruf heavily i see very little moisture on my finger. sometimes i have the feeling, the german post offices may be too hot so that the snus dries out there. lucky strike (because vakuum packed) and general maxi for example are normaly much more moist.

what do you think about the idea of spraying water on the snus to make it moist again (as recommended in a northerner-video on youtube)?

or do you think moisture doesn't matter if the snus is fresh? i lways had the impression moist snus tastes much better and gives a better nicotine delivery.

By all means, if it isn't moist enough for you, adjust to your liking! I think a more controllable method would be to put a slice of apple in there, but it may impart some flavor to the snus. Spraying is fine, too, but not too much.

I love Skruf just as much, but I've never had any problems with it not being moist enough. Also, if you really like Skruf, try Knox. Same thing, much cheaper.

I have never noticed Skruf to be dry. You can just put a drop of water in there and let it sit a bit. Go slow till its where you want it.

If I ever have portions that have dried out a little I just put one small drop of water on each, soaks right in and they seem good as new.

I've also not had any skruf to be dried out upon delivery, seems to be about the same moisture content as any other brand.

Don't have much experience with Skruf, but I always found Knox to be somewhere between a regular and a white portion as far as moisture was concerned. Don't think it was dried out and I didn't mind it but they did seem dryer than other portions. Almost exclusively use loose now though so it would be interesting to see if there is any agreement on that or I am remembering wrong. I have added a few drops of water to snus that has been open a little too long and started to dry out, worked just fine
