No snus for 10 days now

bp down from 135/95 to 125 /85.....lost 7 pounds....no booze no snus...I have been very grouchy....Cant do this forever...But seems to be workin....Cant tell if drinking or snusing is the problem....Have to try some scientific experiment after a while...See if I can safely add snus back into my life....Problem seems to be moderation...I have no self control...It is all or nothing...Oh well...Probably not the only one who has this problem...Red

Yeah, you're definitely not the only one. I'd definitely say try a lower nicotine snus. 8mg is already a LOT of nicotine, you should be more than satisfied with it at this point. I'd wait a bit though, maybe your tolerance will be reduced and you'll be satisfied with less nicotine.

On day 21 I cracked...Had about 5 portions...1 Jameson and 2 glasses of wine...Have since had 2 portions a day and 1 glass of wine a day...Trying to use a modicum of self control...Its a dangerous game as I know I am a nicotine junky and habituated to alcohol...I do feel a little less grouchy knowing I can have a snus in the morning and a snus and a glass of wine when I get home from work...Just got to keep from goin all the way back to half a can of snus and 4 or 5 drinks a day...wish me luck...Red

it's easy to quit smoking with snus

but it's hard to give up on nicotine all together

1 month 5 days without snus for me. I am still using nicotine, about 6 4mg nicotine lozenges a day. It was bloody hard work to get down to that. Good luck to all those that are quitting, and even though I'm off snus now, I will always support the snus cause.

If you can stop it, you can pretty much do anything. I used almost only Odens Extreme (strongest snus) and managed to quit..
Not by my own will, it's just damn hard to get some snus here.
