Well, lets just say I get a really solid pris, it doesnt crumble at all except when I first put it in my mouth.. but it gets put back together really easily. After a while I have little bits of tobacco in my mouth.. I swallow them however. Is it harmful to swallow bits? How much is too much to swallow? And is it supposed to crumble after a while like this when it starts to get wet? Thanks! I'm new to loose, and sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

Never used an icetool but as I have heard before if when using it you pack it so tight it is uncomfortable on the gums then that is too tight, plus the flavor and nicotine will be slower to release. I think it is a standard newb mistake to pack a pris/prilla too tightly. I know I made that mistake myself when I first started. It should be almost like a happy little tobacco pillow, or cloud, at least that is what I like to think Bob Ross would have said if he was a snuser.Originally posted by DyskotekaThanks Ken, I'm currently using an icetool and general loose, if that helps.

Since you're using an Icetool....just try and pack it a little less. You'll get more flavor and better mouthfeel too. Also, it's not harmful at all to swallow the "bits"...hell, I've swallowed countless portions and prillas, lol. My wife LOVES the third nipple I've grown, ahaha...Originally posted by DyskotekaWell, lets just say I get a really solid pris, it doesnt crumble at all except when I first put it in my mouth.. but it gets put back together really easily. Another Los noob checking in. There definitely seems so be a learning curve to it. First couple prillas (Thunder Frosted) fell apart upon insertion with the Ice Tool due to poor placement I believe. I then got them in OK but developed sore gums after a few days, just using a couple prilla's a night at home. I think I may be guilty of packing them to tight. I went back to portions only for a few days to rest the gums. I'll try a looser pack next go.

See, I've tried handbaking a bunch of times, and it never works out for me at all, haha. The snus just turns to dust as soon as I pick it up, it splits and falls all over. Until the icetool I use to just "No bake" it.. just take a pinch and shove it in there haha.Originally posted by FrostedI used to use an icetool but found it packed too hard and too cylindrical. Try hand baking - it's really really easy. At first it's hard and when it goes limp it fills my mouth with its lovely juices (lol).

My ex said she got more lovely juices when it's hard (this is just wrong)Originally posted by FrostedI used to use an icetool but found it packed too hard and too cylindrical. Try hand baking - it's really really easy.

Just pack it a little less mate, the flavor is better and it just feels nicer in your mouth. I've always got a hot drink in my hand, so it always falls apart after a while because it gets wet, when it's mush i hook it out

quite true :^)
the prilla usually doesn't have to be hard, even though it's most likely to make it hard using an icetool
I prefer to use my hand and give it a fair consistency before throwing it in.
(talking about the prilla here)

Push it into the side of the can with your fingers, it kinda forms a triangle shape, then you can pick it up and mould it into a cylinderOriginally posted by DyskotekaSee, I've tried handbaking a bunch of times, and it never works out for me at all, haha. Now i got ya. General loose is a bit more difficult to bake if you're new i’d say, you could try something like Phantom, Pioneer, or Roda Lacket, all are a bit easier to work with. Stick at it, you'll figure it out... I don’t have a problem with General, but i can see how you could be having an issue with it, is it a tad dry, has it been kicking around for a while? I had some lost in the post for about 3 weeks, it needed a VERY FINE mist spray of water to bring it back.Originally posted by DyskotekaTried handbaking it.. was doing it for 10 mins.. did the thing with the side of the can too.. still crumbled like dust. Maybe it's because general loose is way too flakey? It's really fine cut I suppose. But too flakey to stay in a shape.
