Anyone know what the deal is with Landströms and Gellivare?

I remember reading from Chad months ago that their issue was that they couldn't find a steady supply of tins or something to that effect, but that a solution was going to be had within a matter of weeks. That was months ago now, and still no sign of it on the website at the Northerner. Is Landströms dead? What's going on? I'd really like to put in an order for a few rolls of each, but aside from being broke lately, I haven't seen any sign of the for sale in ages now.

This seems to be a pattern..................they did this before................so if the pattern holds true you should be able to buy G&L in about a year and 2 months from today

                No response still from Gellivare.

I talked to Frank this morning and another webstore last night and both said the same thing, no one has heard from them since the summer and they aren't answering phone calls or emails.

So I dunno, no news really, but it doesn't sound good or look like they'll be back around anytime soon.

I know before their last hiatus they had an issue with not paying tobacco taxes or something and then vanished. This time it was something to do with an issue with the cans/manufacturing. So there's more hope this time than last time, but they're not talking to anyone, so it may be a while before they re-appear again.

I'm not exactly sure I am buying the whole "can dilemma"

You don't order tins when the last one is taken from the box. In other words, you know there is a problem long before you run out and you make arrangements (even if temporary) before production shuts down.

If you make your living as a printer.............you do not run out of paper.....you may change suppliers....but you don't run out.

There seems to be more to this……….

I'm with Snusdog. If I were running the factory, and you said there would be a couple week long delay, maybe I'd deal with not shipping out any product for 2-3 weeks. Just maybe. But by the time that first month rolled around, I'd be looking at a new supplier, and I certainly wouldn't be waiting on you for 6 months or more, while my business goes to crap. Sounds like some bs to me. I mean, what's so special about those cans? Have I been failing to notice diamonds melted into the plastic, or are they extra durable because they're made from Bigfoot sh¡t?
