    Offroad Liqourice - what's happened?

I am (or was) a big fan of Offroad Liquorice, until this week when a newly ordered batch arrived through the post.

Firstly, the packaging has all changed, it now says 'US' on it, and that its only for the us market. Wasn't the snus produced in Denmark?

Secondly, the liquorice taste. It is treble the flavour now, as soon as you put it in all you get is the liquorice flavour, nothing else.

Lastly, the portion pouches. They are a lot whiter in colour, and thinner than the last pouches in my last tin of this stuff.

What is another well recommended liquorice snus?

Jakobsson's Liquorice or maybe still called Anis may be to your taste. And in my opinion is a high quality snus.

I never had the portions, but the los is a big favorite of mine. The licorice taste is pretty strong, but that's why I like it.

I second the Jakobsson's suggestion. I don't consider it a replacement for Offroad, but an addition. Where Offroad is more dessert-like, the Jakobbsson's is more sophisticated, and adult in flavor.

I ordered a tin on my last order never had it before but I agree its waaaay to much like sticking a chunk of liquorice in yer lip. No tobacco flavor at all could I find. Was hoping it be abit of a hint than a lic overload. That being said I think it may be very approchable to those who are new to snus and love that flavor

I haven't had a can of OR licorice for a while now. I really liked the los and hope they haven't changed it . I am a licorice fan and to me it reminds of Bassetts Licorice Allsorts, which i probably ate way too much of when i was a kid. Will be getting some in my next order.

Hadn't heard that Jaks is making a licorice now, will def have to give that a try.

If you don't mind sterks you could give Odens Licorice a try.

It's the old Gotland grey, which isn't quite licorice. It's anis and has an herbal flavor. I love it, but it's not really a substitute for pure licorice imo. LD Black was the best licorice portion, but they exist no more. Americans couldn't get it now anyway :^S

Ahhh ok, yeah i tried the Gotlands grey los, you are right with your description. Definitely anis not licorice. Never did get to try the LD, but i am very impressed with the OR los, the flavor just never quits.

                    What they said^.

And....to answer your question about it being made in Denmark.. Yes all V2 products are made in Denmark.. I hope as some of these companies start to put their product in cans labeled for the US they make sure to say made in Sweden, Denmark, etc..

I think people want Snus from Snusland so the less confusion the better..
