You could also just add some soap or oil field brine to your favorite snus for the same flavor!

I don't remember whether they did that with Yellow. But cans of Gray said 'Anis', and Green said 'Fläder'

At any rate, Original Poster---yes, both are good. I liked the Anis lös better than the portions, personally---the salt seemed to be more prominent in the portions. And Fläder is of course an old favorite of mine. Very unique snus. You'll either love it or not love it, but you'll find absolutely no other snus that is anything like it. Fläder is particularly good as a summer snus, in my opinion, so you're picking a good time to try it.

Edit: And oh yeah.....I miss Gotlandssnus Gul too, Jimmy!!

You got me up to look. All the greys I ever had said anis on the the tin, but the greens and yellows didn't say.

Nope, never has been outside a very specialty release in Sweden, and as a gift from Jimmy.

Not yet. I remember Jimmy saying, way on back, that they never released Green in lös because the taste just didn't come out right that way.

But didn't I read something earlier about that being possibly done, or being tested? I can't remember, but I'd kill several people for a shot at trying it.

Jimmy sent out a bunch of samples awhile back. Both the flader, and plain los. Both were exceptional, and as good as you imagine. I'm hoping they'll make it a limited release at least, but I'm not holding my breath :^/

I've had the Flader portion and it was interesting. Sort of a sour apple flavor, it took a while for it to grow on me. I'd say its a once in a while kind of thing. I've had the grey (anise, licorice) los and it wasn't bad at all. I cant comment on the portion version though, but I imagine the los would have more flavor.

Tru.. that was the thing back in the old times! the flavor was not good used for loose. Some adjustment in the flavor (more concentrated) and a bit higher amount made an ok prototype for loose! that prototype i shiped as a sample for a bunch of people on this forum..

My family in Syria grew Anise and sold it by the ton ! The plant is used medicinally to fight flus and making liquor ( Arak , deliciously STRONG stuff ) ! the taste reminds me of smelling it in the warehouse

I became quite fond of Jimmies creations and find myself craving some Green Los, I used it at work and found it to be perfect! Thank you Jimmy and now I pay the price for liking it! Come on Green Los! So tasty.
