Order Time. Jakobsson's Licorice and Flader worth it?

    It's that time again.

Need to throw in a few more cans to make the shipping worth it and was thinking about these 2 on top of my usual cans.

I haven't had the licorice, but the flader's first rate. Gotland's my favorite maker, and I wouldn't hesitate to try any of their snus.

I guess that settles it, Flader goes in too. I pretty much decided to try the Licorice since I'm hopelessly addicted to Oden's ES Lakrits.

Northerner indicates the licorice is the old Gotland Grå, which I kind of suspected. It's one of the few portions on my roll buy list, but it isn't quite licorice. It's an herbal anis taste, which is very similar to licorice, but different. Worth a try for sure.

              Maybe we'll expect Jakobsson's Gul soon? :P

That's kind of what the Classic is. There's differences, but they're close enough that I'd be happy enough with the Classic for my portion fix. Lös otoh....

Hmm I thought classic had a pine taste, gotlands yellow was just interesting and kind of sweet I didn't think the portions were that great, the loose otoh.

I'm not a fan of the Jak's cans at all. The Gotlands Anis Los on the Northerner website appears to be in the old cans - is that right or haven't they updated the picture?

There is no Jakobsson's los. The Gotland Gra is the last product of the the Gotland line available. I'd say it's accurate unless they quit making it altogether. Jimmy says they won't, and it is Gotland's debut product, but I have doubts about it's future based on what I've seen from the rest of the line :^/

Okay, but this says Anis and loose...

Gra and Anis are the same?

Yea, they're the same. They used to be known by color amongst forumers, if not the company itself. I'd have to look at my old Gra can to see if they listed the flavor on them.

                          Gra-grey-anis
                          Gul-yellow-bergamot
                          Gron-green-elder

Ah thanks for the knowledge. I didn't get to try the Gul-yellow-bergamot :-(

You missed out. It was my favorite of the Gotland line. The los favored the citrus notes, with a crisp fresh taste, and a pleasant background bitterness. The portions favored the evergreen notes, that gave it a piney character, but again with the trademark bitterness.
