What's this world coming to. First FUBAR takes the 'cookie scent' out of Grunt, now V2 is packing thin portions.

Thin is not the word, there is more portion material than tobacco.

Well it seems the original portions are good. The others not so good. I have a tin of coola open that is way different than the originals I've been getting. They aren't bad per se but definitely different. They are less filled and more wet but as far as kick goes at least equal.....

I don't know why. I know it's not nic content, because I use Skruf ES every morning with no problem. It's a shame really...while I've never cared for the Frosted and I didn't really like the Coola, I loved the Phantom Brown I just got. It's such a nice flavor change from the SM products I'm used to. Unfortunately, every time I use it, I get the strong urge to run to a toilet after about 15 minutes.

Hell, maybe it's in my head...
Have you tried the Wintergreen ES? Wow! I can;t keep it in for more than 10 minutes! Head spinning.. stomach turning. It hits hard! Maybe too hard..lol

Thats Gotlandsnus strength, Our consumers has always right.. (if it is on the quality acpect and something we have been doing wrong)
Good to see you guys care about the customers. I personally have never had any problems with Gotlands and find it to be of the highest quality... from the tin and portion material all the way down to the tobacco, good stuff. I do wish that all of your portions contained 24 pc/can however, even though I understand that it cannot be.

I've had quite the same experience, seems like a hit or miss with V2. They do have pretty consistance los from what I can tell. I just wish the portions were normal. On the other hand, I've also noticed that Offroad, from what little varieties I've tried, have been portioned nicely.

Yeah, I've had it...I can't stand wintergreen. I think it just brings back memories of sneaking Kodiak Dip from my buddy's dad when I was a kid. We got sick as a dog and threw up behind the barn for what seemed like forever.

                Good times...

Anyone who can't stand ES Original or Frosted loose just send it my way please. I plan on knocking over a convenience store for some dough if V2 comes out with ES Coola loose.

Eh I've had it ok with V2 stuff they definitely have had some issues but it's a great snus tobacco missing would be my biggest complaint, I've got a can of offroad cranberry and the portions are fine not even sizes but none busting open and they seem fairly large, thunder frosted otoh.

I may be remembering wrong, but thunder portions have always been thin as far back as I can remember, I don't recall them ever being thicker. I have also found that the tobacco is pretty wet, and if you fluff them up a bit they aren't quite as thin. If you want plump thunder portions, frosted long portions are a lot better imo. I would agree their moisture level have varied a lot over the years, but the last 6 or so rolls I have gotten have seemed pretty consistent.

The portions in thunder aren't a gram. 22.6 grams is what is listed on the can, and this is a guess, but I would assume they pack the cans by weight hence the extra portions you tend to get bringing them to even further under a gram.

Anyways, for me personally I don't mind the thin portions a bit, they still kick like a mule. But everyone is different, if you like thick portions gotlands is definately the way to go.

I didn't realize Thunder is now packaged in 22.6 gram cans. That explains why the portions are thin. The portions for Thunder Test Series were plump, moist, and high quality, albeit the flavor was off putting.

ive never had a thunder portion bust but like some other said ive had lots of general wg bust. Overall I don't have a problem with the way they fill thunder portions. Some are larger than others but i have always got a full can. I may be wrong but i don't think thunder has ever been a gram a bag and always 22.6 grams a can. One times I bought some offroad longcut that was not right. i emailed them about it. they was very nice and replaced the cans within days. i ain't a v2 groupie or anything but they cost less and you get what you pay for.

                            thunder $3.20
                            general es $4.54

i bet if we send v2 an extra $1.34 a can it would not be long before each and every portion was identical :-)

man oh man, I spoke too soon.

I opened up a new tin of Thunder original yesterday, and so far I've found 2 portions that were open on one side...

Hopefully the rest of the roll won't be like that. This was probably the 2nd or 3rd can in this roll that I opened. The other can, or cans were fine. Hopefully it's a fluke.

I can't believe all these reports about busted V2 portions. I've never seen it. Only General Wintergreen has ever busted open on me.
