Here is where I come down

The Phantom series in los is top notch (especially the blue and brown) and has a regular place in my rotation

The Off Road series in los IMO is not nearly as good (when I throw in a can of OR los it is simply to stay current on the details of production so when people ask I have something up to date to refer to)

Now when it comes to portions it seems the situation is reversed.

From my understanding the Phantom portions were a bit challenged (whether or not they have improved I will have to leave to others to address)

However, I have had the opportunity to sample several of the recent Off Road portions and have found them to be top notch in both flavor and portion material.

So all in all I find V2 very much in the conversation with the other producers (like SM) and for a much better price.
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I used to think the same thing dude...Thunder is growing on me rapidly. I tried Phantom and really did care too much for it. I think after V2 releases their line-up of Long+ portions later this year I will be sold. I still like my General and Ettan, but I forsee myself buying a lot of V2 products in the future.

I agree with you jdman321. I have not tried all varieties, but I like Thunder best of V2's products. Offroad is the kind of snus I really can't stand... I have tried the long cut and licorice only though; maybe some other variety I am forgetting, but they did nothing for me. In fact one of them actually made me feeling a bit sick. I was out of snus but had one can of Offroad, but I couldn't snus it.

I think I've tried Phantom brown portion once. A very long time ago though, and it was... OK. Nothing spectacular, but considering it is a budget snus, then alright.

Since it was so long since I tried Phantom and Offroad, I think I have to try them again some time. But for now, Gotlandssnus and Swedish Match are my number one manufacturers.

I gotta agree on the los vs portions from V2. My first V2 product was the thunder frosted long. I enjoyed these but the minute I had thunder frosted and offroad frosted los that was a whole nother strata. I still have a single can of offroad frosted portions waiting in my freezer.

I love SM and their offerings, but I gotta give mad props to V2 for giving SM a run for their money. Those crazy guays! Thunder Coola Long+ FTMFW!

I can't get over how good the Coola is! I need to get my hands on some Offroad Coola.

I am a big V2 fanboy...I'm not going to lie. Between them and gotlands in my life I have no room for SM products.

I only use V2 and Gajane anymore. If SM disappeared overnight I wouldn't miss them.

they do seem much better these days. a few years ago, you were lucky to receive portions that weren't either completely soaked, or completely dry. The last few rolls I've gotten this year have been absolutely perfect.

Once my wg longcut is gone I probably will never buy another V2 product.
The Thunder line is excellent but I am staying away from sterks, and the PHantom/Offroad los line is good but for a little more money I feel I can get something even better.

I like the V2 snus quite a lot. But my problem was the variance in quality.
Like my fave snus used to be Thunder OP, especially when it was wet, but the last cans of it I got were dry, and not very good.

I also really liked Offroad Original Portion.
                          Same with Phantom Original Portion.

I think the V2 loose is very good.

I really think I like the V2 snus more than Swedish Match. I'm not a fan of flavored snus though.

My in use stash it is 100% v2 right now......70% phantom blue and brown los and 30% assorted thunder products.

My apocalypse stash is 90% Gotlands los and 10% Taboca los.

I use v2 and really like them....much better than when I first tried them two years ago.

As for Swedish Match.....their flavor profile is really not.my bag.....same for imperial and f&l. An occasional tin here or there bur never s staple in my rotation.

The only V2 products I like are Phantom and of course Thunder Frosted. All the rest of them I can't take at all.
Thunder Frosted is a major success - they've got this one just right.

So it's Gajane and Thunder Frosted for me.

Offroad is terrible, I never tried anything worse than that. How does it come Offroad and Thunder are made by the same company they are two different snuses.
Phantom is OK... but not more than that. A bit too salty for my tastes, definately not my everyday snus but not bad for a change.

and yes, Frosted, my personal hello. You have my sympathy, I always follow your posts. You and the other UK snusers are providing this place with tremendous input.
                                Cheers
