Update: Jakobsson's Classic Strong isn't as strong as I expected, but nice.

They are strong because of a higher ph so they "hit harder".

Thunder is an experience.....I cut the portions in half myself. They are strong.

Better enjoy it then! When I try Thunder Frosted extra strong for the first time I'll savor every moment of it, just like the first time I smoked a cigarette, but...better.

Your first Thunder can be brutal. Niccups for days. Really is about the strongest snus you can buy, and it has become my main snus - I love the stuff!

I will say that one thing that never gets old in these forums is reading about peoples first impressions of snus. I never tire of hearing about it. I am also happy to see someone that enjoys real snus from the getgo instead of having to adjust. Reminds me of my first time trying it.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions of the thunder, as you may have guessed by now I am a big fan haha. Your talk about the Jaks classic strong was interesting. Obvously it is stong being as how it made your gums numb, but honestly that one just doesn't feel real strong to me like you originally said. The nice thing about it is that the nicotine kicks in really fast ive found, which is nice when one is really craving some vitamin n, but after that initial burst it really doesn't seem very strong to me. It satisfies though and tastes really darn good.

Honestly I find my frosted long portions to feel stronger even though they have 2g less nicotine. As for the full strength stuff that you appear to have...have fun with that!! That stuff kicks like a horse. Maybe we will get a new story in the I shit my pants thread lol.

Get yourself some Makla. Some say it's not really snus. I don't know what the hell it is but I nearly had to post an entry to the ISMP thread with that stuff...talk about nicotine. Whew.

Just tried Thunder Frosted Extra Strong for the first nicotine of the morning, good GOD and I thought the Onyx was strong, HA.

The second I placed it under my lip there was a tingle, then a burn, then the sensation that can only be described as a hole being drilled straight through my tooth while my gums were doused with gasoline and lit on fire. My eyes watered for a few seconds but then the pain subsided, and a refreshing cool feeling was taking over. It definetely tastes great, but Grov is officially my favorite.

In order from the best experience/hit/taste/lasting appeal:

1. Grov
2. Jakobsson's
3. General White
4. Thunder Frosted
5. Onyx

3, 4, and 5 can be interchangeable really. I'm not saying Onyx is bad, or the worst as they were all good.

EDIT: Just sipped some coffee with the Thunder, might have to move Thunder up a notch, mmm. Thanks again to fishmeat and ProudMarineDad for the chance to sample some of the greatest!

EDIT2: I'm surprised I didn't get a headache with Thunder Frosted after some of the horror stories I've read and the warnings. I wouldn't make it my regular snus though because I don't want to build up my nicotine tolerance that high right now. I want to enjoy the others while still receiving that rush.

I would alternate a sterk snus with a regular, or 2 regular one sterk, actually, I would use a sterk with coffee in the morning, and one after lunch, and that's all. And I'd recommend not keeping a portion is super long, I'd say 1/2 hour, with a long break, because when I started, I'd keep a portion in for about an hour and half, and I think that affected my gums some. Though I have diabetes, and that affects my gums more than anything.

If you like the taste of that Frosted, but it's too strong, you can always try the Frosted Long +. Those are shaped like camel's 'sausage' shaped portions are, but are...14 mg/g (I think) so they're a teeny bit weaker in the nic hit department than the regular frosteds. Can always try Offroad Frosted as well. It's not exactly the same taste, but it's really really close and has about half the nic hit the regular Thunder does.
