A question for UK resident snus users...

Next time I travel out of the US I want to order Lucky Strike Los and a few other favorites for delivery either in the UK or Japan.

If I order with delivery to the UK do I have a customs or tax bill when it is delivered?

I've heard US Customs is generally no duty on two rolls when bringing it back.

Thanks in advance for any advice, comments, experience, etc.

No tax to pay on import to the UK - you have to pay EU tax when you buy it however.

If you go BuySnus and choose 'within the EU' from the panel on the left hand side, it automatically adds this tax on for you. BuySnus can't ship to any address within the EU without paying this tax.

    Hope this helps

with lucky strike los you are going to have to pay EU sales tax, and swedish tobacco tax. UK customs at the moment do not recognize snus as either smokeable or chew, so there is no tax on importation (I ordered 2 rolls from the US tax free, got here no problem)

Yes, BuySnus & Northerner have to add both to your order at their end when you order to the UK from Sweden unfortunately (as with all other EU country orders) UK Customs don't add anything extra.

When you order to the UK/Europe from Northerner's tax free selection from the US you're basically bypassing 'the system' as far as EU Sales and Swedish Tobacco Tax goes as the order hasn't been sent from Europe.

EXACT information and exactly what I was looking for.

Can do just fine with Skruf Stark and Xtra Stark and General Ekstra Sterk but like to mix in the Lucky los once in awhile. Looks like I will use it sparingly but still far better than going back to cigs.

Thanks for the answers to all!

Going back to cigs would be terrible....!!!

We actually don't have it so bad in the US right now comparing prices we pay to the EU.

Getting info on Japan is proving really difficult as it is in Japanese and snus could be counted as several different types of tobacco. Will probably go with the UK just to avoid any surprises.

There is a Swedish person who has started to produce snus now in Thailand and friends who have tried it have had good things to say about it.

It will be a few months but if I can get some I will post a review and photos.
