    Waiting for UPS

Have I mentioned how much I really hate waiting for the UPS guy when my snus is out for delivery? Really sucks that if for any reason I miss him(stuck on a call or whatever), I will not get it till tomorrow.

    Hatehatehate the PACT!!!

    That sucks.

    Good luck.
I know my UPS guy at my job pretty well, I even got his cell number if I need something early.

I just have it sent to my mom's house. She is retired and usually home. If not, the UPS station is only about 10 minutes from my work. If I have it sent to my home address and I am not here, it will be about a good hours drive just to go pick it up.

I have it delivered to my work now, in fact, I have everything delivered to my work. My office is in the same hallway as the mailroom, so I just go right over there at 10 am when I see the UPS guy arrive and pickup my packages. MUCH better than that dreaded yellow slip. And UPS to business's are SO MUCH more reliable.

          Here is something new!
I mailed a package off today(non-tobacco), and used this self-mail stand with a computer-like screen, they have at the post office, you pay with your card, and place the item on a scale. Anyway, on the screen, it says if it's hazzardous, etc, and gives a list of stuff, and cigarettes and smokeless tobacco was on top of the list.

2 times this week I had to go to the ups hub to pick up my snus because I missed the delivery. It's a pain because I'm always looking online to see if ups tried to deliver it - then since I'm not home I have to call and have them hold it for me, shipment wasnt ready when I got there so I had to wait about 25 minutes untill they found it. I wish I could get it shipped to work, but that's not an option. Oh well, at least I know for sure I can get it at the end of the day at the ups facility.

I had some snus delivered to work once, and the receptionist asked me if it was a bottle of wine (in front of some other people, including the fiance of the president of the company). I said, "I wish!" I don't know if I want to have it delivered to work anymore, and there's no one at home to sign for it... What a pain this whole PACT thing is... Sigh...

Maybe next time I'll just tell them what it is and get it over with...

I leave for work at 2 pm. UPS doesn't show up until after 4 pm. I'm pretty screwed if my roommate isn't home when the guy shows up. Sucks nards.

On a positive note about UPS.. I love the tracking feature. Knowing it's progress across the world/country is pretty cool. Like right now I have no idea where my mr snuff order is. Still over the pond? Stuck in customs? Who knows..
