Think I'm going to kick the can myself. It is so expensive to buy snus in Norway. More than 10$ for a can of loose, and I don't make THAT much money. But the damn nicotine addiction is hard to kick. I've done it before, god knows how lol.

I chain snus and my average is around 8-ish. Think of how much it would cost to chain dip or chain smoke all day and then you can be thankful that we have snus that lasts for 1-2 hours (:

True, maybe I should cut back on my habbit rather then quit.

I find $10 a tin of lös an acceptable price. It would piss me off cause it's the government stealing money,, but in the end, it would be $10 per week; not so bad all in all. I'd probably cut down slightly so a tin would last me 7 days, but it wouldn't be that big a cut. I estimate a tin lasts me 6 days right now.

I'm at the very least 8-ish i chain snus ( I really don't count ) and 3 years ago I chain smoked 3 packs of smokes a day, I can't even fathom how much it would be costing me to smoke that much now.....

+1 on snus and 2 packs 2 years ago. A carton costs 79 here, that is a lot of scratch.

Yeah dip goes fast more than 40 minutes max is too much, I finished a can in at most 7 pinches and at 4 bucks a can that's unacceptable, usually fine cut lasts longer though.

I almost quit sometime in December when Getsnus, all of the sudden, started charging me insane tobacco taxes. One roll of General Onyx shipped came out to $87 (didn't order it!) Buysnus doesn't charge me tobacco tax, so I order through them for now. If they start charging tobacco tax, though, I'll probably quit. I make a roll last around a month, and at ~$40 a roll, it's not too cost-prohibitive. I hope I don't have to quit too soon. The thought of kicking a ~10 year nicotine addiction while still in college is terrifying.

That's half the reason I quit smoking -- I did the math and was spending an average of $2400 a year on cigarettes! $2400 a year just for nicotine pleasure, and killing myself slowly in the process, making every waking morning pretty irritating from the coughing fits.

I was smoking 2 packs per day which comes out to a total of $240 per month. Based on 9 portions per day, if I order 3 rolls at a time from GetSnus even with 75% tax and high shipping it comes out to $88 bucks per month. A savings of about $1800 bucks per year.

I have quit oral tobacco, it's been a little while now. I get an occasional craving. I am hitting the nasal snuff a lot though. I have an e-cig but it really sits unused, since I quit regular smoking a while back, I don't have an urge to smoke at all. One thing I am sorta curious about and may try, just for something to do, is the herbal chew/dips. I just wanna see what it's like. I know it won't have the nic, but it might taste good.
