People wii notice if you used snus (snus smell to others?)

Hey guys!

Beeing a light cig smoker (2 ou 3 cigs p/ day) I want to try snus so it could be a second option for rainy or cold days when the urge to smoke comes.

Thing is, smoking cigs leaves a bad smell, and my girlfriend is nuts about using anything that contains nicotine (snus included), so I always have to smoke when she's not home and at least 1 hour before she comes home. After smoking, always brush my teets twice to do the job and I'm clear.

My questions is: using snus leaves any smells that can be perceptible to other people when they get close to you? If the answer is yes, what do you reccomend to get rid of the smell after using?

You won't have any smell after using snus. The great thing about snus is that once it's out of your mouth - it's gone. Unlike cigarettes that leave your mouth feeling and tasting like an ashtray for about three hours.

My wife never knows when I have been snusing or when i have one in. I have alot of variety of different snus and the only one that my wife said my breath smells was when i had a portion of Göteborg Rape Nr. 2 in. The only reason i can think of is that the lingonberries in this one upset my stomach a bit and caused the bad breath otherwise snus has no odor while you have it in to anyone else...

Brushing your teeth twice after every smoke does sound painfull to me and smoking when she's not home and at least 1 hour before she comes home sounds like a pain. Sound like snus would be a good option for you and if your girlfriend doesn't care for you using snus then the other option you may want to consider is a new girlfriend...

My wife can smell snus from about 5 feet away. It seems like certain brands are worse than others. She complains about General los the most. On the other hand, she says that Oomph smells fine. I guess Gotlands, Gellivare and Granit are in the middle somewhere. The good news that one good brushing should get rid of the smell or even sipping coffee for that matter.

Unless you're having wintergreen or licorice.... that has quite a strong smell ... she won't notice anything apart from the taste in your mouth when kissing her....

Yeah white portions have less of a smell snus leaves a smell on your breath but it's not that obvious I'd just swishing some water or drinking something would do the job. General mint should work well and that's good snus for beginners it smells like peppermint candy I'd say.

At my work they have a 0 tobacco tolerance. I have sat down and had a face to face conversation with our manager with a general mint mini in and if he noticed nothing was said. So i dont think he could smell it and if he did he probably thought it was gum or something. Now mom swears she can tell when i have a portion in. I think she is just saying cause i give her hell for smoking though . No one else i know has ever said anything.

If you are worried about her tasting it, go with a fruitier or mint flavor. Otherwise, in my experience, there is no outward scent. It's in your mouth so it's not like smoking where your entire person will smell of tobacco.

My girlfriend has never really complained. Made comments after a kiss, but never a serious complaint.

Welcome to the forum. If you stick with snus it will beat out cigarettes as your preferred source of nicotine. Hopefully your girl will recognize the health benefits of snus vs. smoking.

I have a General can here which I used and you're right, there's almost no smell after it! And the nicotine kick is amazing

I will also try General Mint Mini and Oomph in the sequence to "stay low" for a while!

General is a very solid brand. Be sure to try lös, it won't be for discrete occasions, but it's very pleasurable.

My wife (an ex-smoker) has never complained, with two exceptions: Nick & Johnny OP (3 times) and Grov OP (1 time).

My hunch is that white portions smell less, especially the ones that are (too) dry, like Skruf Stark white.

If you want to avoid visibility (meetings etc.), the best choice would be 01/02 or General Long.

But, the best choice of all, if you want to avoid visible bumps and smell almost nothing, is - in my opinion - Oliver Twist. OT is perfect for job interviews etc.
