V2 changed their formulation last year, but I didn't have any for comparison. I traditionally don't like V2 portions, but I haven't had any in quite awhile. They may be better now. The Gotland portions are very good, but as with most snus, I prefer the lös. Keep in mind that's primarily what I use, so I'm biased. The lös flavor comes through stronger, and has a better mouth feel imo. V2 lös is very coarse, and I can't use my IceTool with it. It packs it too hard, and hurts my gums. Grabbing a pinch and lightly baking works well though, and the coarse grind is nice.

If you were only to buy 1, or buy a majority of 1 product untested, I'd go with Gotland. They were the first to have Julesnus, and I'd get it in lös form. Xmas is traditional, and it's best experienced with a traditional product imo.
I forgot you prefer the Gotland product... While I seem to prefer V2's Thunder Berry, Thunder Frosted Strong Mini and my 1st and favorite desert Los Phantom Blue Los maybe because it's flavor is so pronounced. I am favoring Los more than portions these days also, But will always need portions for discretion in those social situations. With that said I plan on getting either Julesnus in the Los version and maybe 1 in Portion because i have never tried it.

I can say I was turned off by Gotland Yellow portions and could only stomach 3 portions when I first strated snus and in the freezer it went. I haven't given it another chance only because i didn't like the over the top grapefruit (bergamot) flavor, it just seemed to be too much citrus flavor and haven't given any Gotland snus a thought like the green or the like because if I want an apple or grapefruit I'll eat one, With that said I do like flavored snus though and have been wondering if the Gotland yellow loose is the same or completely different in that aspect in order for me to give it a try.. Or any Gotland Loose product for that matter..

Gotland snus isn't for everyone. It seems the people that like it, really like it though. The yellow lös favors the citrus notes as opposed to the evergreen notes of the portions. Also, the bitterness in toned down in the lös. The grey is anis flavored. That might be a turn off right there if you don't like that, but it's a favorite of mine. Both lös and portions are fairly herbal in flavor, and again, the portions have more bitterness. The lös is a bit sweeter, and reminds me of Jagermeister. The green is elder flavored, but tastes like granny smith apples to me. I like it pretty well, but it's my least favorite Gotland product. I'd be interested in trying the lös version, but AFAIK, it's a VERY limited release in Sweden only.

Not a big anis fan but the Gotland yellow is a big hit with me. It wasn't that way in the beginning as I started with the portions. It was okay but it didn't make it into my rotation. The loose treated me much better. Just the right amount of.... everything. Still waiting for Gotlands to come out with a straight tobacco flavored snus.

Also a big fan of Gotlands Jules, both portions and loose

            DNS Server problems?
Just tried the links and got "Server Not Found."

I'd swear it was working this morning.

OK ... just tried them again and they're available now.

Maybe they were down for maintenance.

There seems to be a conflict between Northerner's pronouncement
                  and Gotlandssnus':

                  "X-mas Snus (Julesnus)
The Original x-mas snus since 2003. Julesnus is a very popular snus.
With taste of glögg (mulled wine), ginger-bread and cinnamon.

This big seller is only available during the month of December,
in loose and portion pouched snus"

This snus was almost as bad as General Wintergreen IMO. I used one portion and then tossed the rest.

That's usually a problem with your connection.

It's nothing to do with their servers.

Very nice looking can. I still have a can of los from last year I was saving for this year. Guess I'll have to pick up a few more along with V2. I still have an opened can of the one with the santa chick on it, that's been opened since last December. I popped one in a couple of days ago and it's still good.

It's been a long while since I had it, but I seem to remember it tasting like a muted ginger bread cookie.
