    Is this for real?

So every time I want to buy 10 cans online I have to pay DOUBLE the amount on taxes?
Is there any place else to get snus if I'm in USA that is cheaper?
    Is northener cheaper than buysnus?
What do I do to snus in an affordable way?

The best deal no matter where you live is SnusOn's VIP but you gotta like the selection. Here in the states, Northerner charges Federal and State taxes but BuySnus doesn't. Of course it's our responsibility to pay those taxes by law. Other good tip is making very large orders to keep the shipping down. Other than that, start growing tobacco

I would try SnusCentral and place a large order of 2 or more rolls or 20-30 or more cans to make it alot less cheaper than anywhere else. The shipping is a flat rate and will only be cost effective by placing large orders... Do a mock order on SnusCentral and BuySnus ... Forget 10 can orders anywhere unless you want to pay more... The days of buying 5 or 10 cans cheap are long gone... Larger orders will result in the same price per can as you used to pay...

Or..buy only expired or near-expired snus from Northerner! They had near expired Ettan for .99!!! I would've stocked up but I am one of the few who actually dislikes Ettan.

The cheapest I found so far is Swedsnus.com. ($6 per can) comaparing to Northerner.com - A can on northerner.com goes up to $10.

I'll do a bit more research though.

Looking at Northerner's prices, it seems like there's some pretty massive gaps in prices now? I don't remember the differences ever being this high, and it seems like it's mostly Swedish Match snus that's so ungodly expensive. In Strong Portion, compare Thunder Frosted for $3.08 vs. General Sterk for $4.25... I mean, I remember the two being roughly equal in price, probably no larger difference than $.25 or so. Are higher taxes levied on SM snus, or what? I guess I'm grateful, I'm on a Jakobssons Wintergreen kick anyways, but this is really confusing and somewhat frustrating.

There is no one correct answer for everybody, you have to shop around.

The best source of cheapest snus for someone in the EU, someone in Seattle, and someone in Virginia can be different.

                  cost of the snus + taxes ? + shipping ? + customs charges ?

You can try and order from a vendor that doesn't charge you taxes but if customs in your country intercepts your package and asseses the tobacco tax themselves your "cheapest" snus can turn into the most expensive.

                  There are too many variables.

Looking at the shelf price is just a waste of time...

The price per can should be calculated as Justin did above ...

Product Price + Sales Tax + Tobacco Tax + Shipping + (Vamal Taxes) + You might want to add the time spent too - that's also money lol

And I'm saying that because I got really annoyed lately with Northerner.com is taking more than 15 days and still didn't get my last order ...

The can is roughy $10 on northerner after adding all the taxes and shipping ... you can't get in cheaper.

                    @justintempler

                    Good points.

The thing is that if I order snus from an European warehouse and the package is shipping via UPS or normal post they won't get checked.

The package only gets checked if I order from U.S.

Ah, I see, thanks. Well, this is really discouraging. Gotta love how the government's trying to kill online tobacco shopping... to encourage us all to smoke and kill ourselves? I've got about 12 cans left on this order of 30, then I guess I'm going to try to find a retail location in my city. After a lot of searching, I think I've found one. But I thought that before, and they told me that they had long since discontinued it due to a lack of sales. And this new one apparently only sells General. Better than nothing.

                        Seems so. LoL.

The reality is that certain websites are way too expensive such as Northerner.com (I think they're just fooling us) since I can't explain the high taxes that other DON'T charge.

                        Better than nothing.
Well, I guess you'll be better of buying General in a local store. I can't since I'm in the EU and selling snus is banned over here.

Someone already said it, but I was also going to say, or am, search local. Find a tobacco/cigar shop that carries the General. It may be a limited selection, but I love General, and it should be better than mail-order. I paid $60 last time, and got 12 cans online, I just don't wanna do that again. I know there is a local place where I live, but I haven't gone there yet.

                              LoL that's $20 per roll.

You're lucky living in Sweden. :P

You're probably going to this one.
