I love Ettan Los, but the portions don't do it for me. There is absolutely no salt flavor and all I can taste is chocolate. I think Swedish Match should reformulate Ettan portions to have a more pronounced flavor of tobacco and salt.

I can understand why people would like this snus. my first mix of cans included these portions, which were quickly my favorite.

I bought a roll and used them exclusively(we were married) for like 3 cans. Every portion tasted like a chocolate chip cookie tobacco rollercoaster.

Then on my next can, that "dirty" flavor that was previously mentioned just appeared. It just tasted gross, like something that shouldn't be in my mouth. I know tastes change with repeated use(olfactory fatigue)...It wasn't expired and was stored properly, but I learned a big lesson about over-use. I hardly finished the can, and traded the rest for other snuses.

I still have no desire to try those portions again.

just a smooth rich tobacco taste...no bergamot...very little salt...hint of a dark chocolate taste. stays good to the end...does not get bitter.

i ordered a roll and would not hesitate to order another.

i have ettan los on order as well and from my experience so far with los...i expect it to be better than the portion
Ditto. I haven't tried as many brands - closer to 10 or so for me - but this has been my favorite. And as soon as getsnus gets this stuff back in stock I'm ordering a roll. It'll probably be my permanent brand. It's that good. And I'm surprised to hear someone else mention the dark chocolate undertones. I was starting to think I was the only one getting them. In fact, I smell the dark chocolate when I take a whiff of this delicious snus.

I recently tried the los for the first time and really enjoyed it. Straight up tobacco taste and maybe a couple of notches of more flavor then Grov. I did get some smokey notes, a little bitterness and just plain easiness.
Earlier I had tried the white portions on different occasions and did not like the flavor at all. The flavor was more pronounced with smoke and nuts which did not agree with me.

There is definately some truth into some snus tasting different from portion to los and this was one of them in my opinion.

IMHO ETTAN is the best. I dont understand why there isnt any other similar tasting snus. Ettan is "The One," why do all the other "plain" snus have bergamont and lemon?????

Ettan is the one with the salt, and the most plain but terrific salt dirt and tobacco taste. If you prefer a basic snus without any kind of artificial taste or bite to it, then try ettan. Even if that doesn't describe you, try ettan.

I have tried several cans of the Ettan lös over the years, I like the fine smooth texture. Not a regular in my rotation.

Ettan may not be as salty as some, but snus wouldn't be snus without salt. The only real solution, AFAIK, is to use it until one is used to the salt.

Definitely one of my favorites. Ettan OP has a very simple but unique
flavor that is an earthy tobacco with a little salt. To me, this is probably
the best tasting snus that I've tried. My only knock against it is that the
flavor doesn't seem to last as long as I would prefer.
An Ettan Extra Stark would be AWESOME!

    Ettan Original Portion:
    9 outta 10 stars
