Don't forget the General Original Portions and maybe some 01/02 for times when you want to keep things on the down-low. Also me agrees with justintemplar on handbaking; start with a little ball to the right or left of your lip stringy-thing then maybe a football shape and then a cylinder.

Welcome to the forum mate. Glad to have you aboard.
Check out the Dipper's Guide to Snus. You may find it helpful. A lot of folks have contributed a lot of good tips and insights for those coming to snus from dip

Welcome aboard! I've been dipping Copenhagen for 29 years with no problems but I enjoy Snus and believe it to be a healthier alternative. If you're having problems with your lower gums and such you might want to consider becoming a "top deck" dipper. I dip most of the time between my upper lip and gum anymore. My favorite snus is Grov although I like a pinch of Offroad licorice here and there which surprised me since, like yourself, I've never been a fan of the flavored stuff. I also enjoy Offroad cranberry and I'd like to try the Oden's kannel that Lazer mentioned. Three things I've discovered I don't like since experimenting with Snus;
1) A damn pouch
2) bergamot
3) Too fine a grind.........feels like clay in the mouth.

@snusdog I have been viewing that thread thank you for the link though! Some good info there, definitely.
@Jimbob_Rebel I have been using the upperlip with the snus, but it has akward! Gonna take alittle to get used to it, that's for sure! I will add some Grov to my list on your recommendation. So far I am liking the snus, I have had it in all day just like the cope but for longer periods. Seems to never burn out of flavor.
I forgot my damn prismaster at work so I just watched a video on YouTube on how to hand bake. Didn't do too bad I must say although it is a big one. It has been solid in there for about 40 mins.

Clay, top deck dipping seemed akward to me at first as well but I've preferred it for some time. Seems the flavor circulates better.

As I'm sitting here typing this with a portion of Oden's ES Original in, I think I'm putting my finger on the similarities I derive with the Cope somewhat better. It's in the drip. That strong tobacco presence with it's own touch of rich flavor YET the cool thing is as snus is pasteurized unlike dip, you can let the juices ease down your throat. The Oden's ES IMHO ranks right up there in nic delivery and hits me similarly to Cope in this way also.
Again, the actual flavor is not spot on by any means but it's the subtle similarities that make the Oden's ES lineup a worthy jump from Copenhagen dip. Give it a shot!
edit: PS/ Oh, and spot on to DawG's reference to the "Dippers Guide to Snus" http://www.snuson.com/forum/showthre...-Guide-to-Snus <---- A must read for everyone!

@Lazer thanks for that eloquent explanation it Oden's! Haha, I will def be getting some.
I have been hammering down this Thunder Frosted Extra Strong. I have just finised the can and have two ulcerations on my upper gumline. Very soar! I might have went to strong to fast or something. I just cracked a can of Goteborgs Rape and have it moveed back to the side of my upper lip and it seems fine. Anyone else ever experience a ulcer or sore when new to this or with the loose frosted?
