Another new found snus man/girl

just got my first order and try of snus today. and i can say the onyx almost knocked me down with its strong peppery taste. Went to Northerner and got 2 try out boxes and an offroad frosted and a claq qui. So far only tried the Onyx, General mini white and the orinco original *no nicotine but not bad tasting*

hoping to use it to cut back on smoking back to the occasional cigar, pipe, foreign cigarette or RYO fancy tobacco blend instead of the 3/4 of a pack a day person i usually am. what sobered me up was the fact after 3 years *haven't smoked long at all* it was becoming less and less about enjoying the smoke and was becoming a habit. But nicotine and caffeine combined are my life force. Without them people get maimed and/or killed and kittens rain from the sky to rip faces off

so i saw snus on a board looked it up and liked what i saw. the varieties, the flavors and the health studies were a big one too. and not having to jump out every hour for a smoke is going to be nice

might be blogging about the snus experiences i have and the different fancy tobacco products i like to get my hand on. so that me and snus so far. salty as the dead sea but nice

Welcome to the site. Try several different flavors, I suggest Grov, Ettan, Roda Lacket and General portion. Sure you have at least one of those in the try out box, right?? I love Onyx, but it can be a bit harsh for the new user. Just get you something to drink when using it, to chase it so to speak. It helps with the burn, which will fade in a few weeks, if not sooner. Good luck, and let us know how it goes. Ask all the questions you like, and we'll answer. There's a TON of info on this site, so read through the threads and you'll find that we've all asked the same questions. Again, welcome.

Welcome! The Onyx is definately one of the more "peppery" ones. The suggestions above are all good choices until you get used to it though.

my fav so far is the General White portion but damn it just kills my gums for the first 20 minutes. can't wait till i get the "gums of steel" i hear so much about on here. and thanks for the welcomes

Hes just pissed because General Wintergreen is known to give vegans erectile dysfunction. The Wintergreen oil reacts with their lack of protien, causing rapid deflation. Only true carnivores can overcome these effects.
He just hasn't been the same since that first portion . . .
