Kayla, snus is much easier to quit than cigarettes. Ya just have to not use snus with little issue to quit. Yes, snus is much much safer.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Kayla2024, tobacco is a medical plant. It's not for everyone. You only get addicted if it really helps you to get through the day.

A lot of the anti tobacco propaganda of today comes from people who were LSD, weed or meth addicts in the 60s, looked down upon as hippies back then, but somehow made it to the top in "health" institutions and still want to have their revenge. The scum always comes up, as a British philosopher once said. Well, this is just my view, but if you take some time to familiarize with the "works" of anti tobacco activists, you soon recognize them as total freaks.

Tobacco is a very mild drug that gets you awake and focused, it's milder than coffee actually, but same as with coffee you will indeed become addicted in the long run.

Cheers, and welcome to the forum!

Hi, I’m new here, so a few words about myself. I started smoking cigarettes 42 years ago, as a teenager. In 2010 I switched to vaping and stayed with it for five years. Then I slowly went back to cigarettes and in the end, for about 10 years, I was using a hybrid setup: every hour cigarette (hand-rolled, Turner Dark tobacco, no filter, around 20 a day) plus vaping all the time, about 5–8 ml of 18 mg liquid per day. I was even waking up two or three times a night for a cigarette.

Last year my wife brought me, as a curiosity, two cans of snus from Sweden: General and Grov, both original portion. I decided to quit smoking again (I planned to keep vaping) and use snus as support.

It was like an illumination. Within a few minutes cigarettes and the e-cig became something unnecessary and distant.

In my country, Poland, like in the whole EU, the sale of snus is banned, so for a few days before my online order arrived I used nicotine pouches instead. Honestly, a miserable ersatz.

I haven’t tried that many products yet, but I already know I definitely prefer original portion over white portion. My favorites so far are General Extra Strong and Ettan Original. Odens Original Extreme Lakrits is good, and Siberia Extreme is only for morning coffee — or even instead of coffee La Morenita Loose is also wonderful, but for now only at home, because halfway through my first can my prillas are still pretty weak. I’ll have to learn, because in a few days another package will arrive with Röda Lacket and Ettan Lösnus.

In my country, despite the geographical closeness to Sweden, snus is practically unknown. On a large tobacco forum there is exactly one thread about it — from 13 years ago. I started looking for a friendly place to talk and found this one.

Sorry for the slightly long introduction. Greetings to all sisters and brothers in snus
