Yes, plus you can control the amount you get based on the size of the prilla. I believe they up the pH in portions to account for the teabag being between the goods and your lip. I think lös is overall a better experience, but sometimes you need the convenience of a portion.

awesome - thanks for all that. I'm looking for safety and comfort over convenience mostly anyway. Are some brands of Los better than others? By better I mean they stay together better and don't drip much?

Lös tends to almost not drip at all unless you poke it alot with your tongue. And it depends on the cut of the tobacco on how well it holds together. The coarser grind tends to hold better for me as the finer grind tends to fall apart easier. Once your lip streches out a little and you develope a pocket where you put it, it doesnt matter so much. You can just pinch and toss and it all stays in the pocket in your lip.

And loose is way more comfortable on the gums than the portion material is

I like Skruf Stark both for the flavour, ease of baking, and it holds together really well. Most of them do stay together with practice, especially the coarser ones as nate.n stated. One thing to keep in mind - Swedish match makes some tasty loose but you need to use it up fairly quickly because it dries out fast in the cardboard containers.

            I don't think I'll ever get a sterk.

So what does the community recommend as a (long cut?) los that's not too powerful, tastes natural (can have flavor, but nothing medicinal or fake sugar), and will keep in the fridge a while?

I'm quite new to snus but have tried a few and just love Oden's original los. Not too strong but a real nice tobacco taste.

Mini portions would be the weakest. Otherwise, and regular portion that isn't listed as strong. Same with lös.

Lx is right....Odens original is a regular strength snus........so anything not listed as "Stark" (strong) or "ES" (Extra Strong) will fall in the regular strength range (about 8mg nicotine per gram of snus). Most sites list the nicotine content in the description for example "Odens Original 8mg" is a regular strength snus.

So regular strength seems to be what suits you according to your post

If you have any questions about a particular brand let us know and we will do our best to help

If you can get it where you are, there is a snus called Loonic ... they do a 75%, 50%, 25% and 0% version. The 75% version is 75% tobacco and 25% tea leaves etc. It's designed to help people who want to cut down - or who want to quit.

Essentially a Loonic portion of 75% is 6mg/g - same as General Silver
50% is 4mg/g same as a regular mini
25% is 2mg/g - the lowest strength snus I know of apart from the tobacco free versions such as Onico and Loonic 0%
                    Squeezyjohn

Sometimes wrong and sometimes right .... but ALWAYS certain!!!
