Does nicotine relieve sore throat?
Ok so I have a bad sore throat my parents had me go to get it checked out and it's not strep throat so they can't do anything. I've continued using snus and it seems like it doesn't bother my throat. Anyone else have experience with snusing or dipping while they have a cold.

Last month I had a terrible sore throat for nearly three weeks. It would move from one side to the other every day it seemed.
I kept snus'ing. It didn't seem to help or hurt.
Try gurgling salt water, that should help. -
Use iodized salt for the gurgling, because the iodine helps heal the sore throat.Comment

Wouldn't snus inhibit the growth of bacteria given it's slightly basic pH?
