I have heard that second hand smoke often bothers former smokers a lot more than someone who has never smoked. It could be a psychosomatic reaction in that you are so afraid of becoming addicted to cigarettes again that your mind has made it where smoke completely bother you and turns you off. This is true with alcoholics that have become clean and sober as well. Just the smell of any kind of booze will make them sick. It is just a way for the body to protect itself.

      My feelings to a tee

They should have had those cocktail waitresses passing out General or something. Does this bother you guys and gals as much as it does me?
So they still allow smoking in the casinos in Biloxi!!?? I'm planning on going next month for a mini vacation! But to answer your question, smoke bothers the hell out of me, clogs my nose up! Yet, I am not ready to drop the occasional binge drinking & smoking habit and each time I just suck it up and deal with my stuffy nose & hangover the next day..

I have no idea why or how, but smoking (more the act than the smell, but they both factor in) bothers me now. I think this is just because seeing and smelling it reminds me of how much time and money and health (sorry to make life sound like an RPG) I wasted on that nonsense.

I still like the smell of smoke, both old and new. The only time I don't like it is in my bedroom, and I was like when I still smoked.

You are referring to cigarette smoke, no?

I personally can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke. Now pipes and cigars thats another story.

Ya, cigarette smoke. One of my favorite smells is opening up a bar, and smelling fresh A/C, old cigarettes, and stale beer :^D

Old cigarettes go well with old cars too. Rotten vinyl, oil, gasoline, and cigarettes :^)

Cigarettes have always smelled foul to me. There have been a few rare occasions where they smelled tempting, but not really good. Since i quit smoking im obviously more aware of them around me and when someone walks passed me, i can tell if they were smoking where as i never noticed it before.

Ever since I quit smoking, I began to find the smell of cigarette smoke to be pretty offensive. I can put up with it without getting a headache, but its definitely not what I would call a pleasant smell.

Just to be clear to everyone, Im not talking about just smelling a cigarette, hell I let my friend smoke in the car on the way to the casino, Im talking about being somewhere smoky with multiple smokers.
